good for me! dunno if drinking is needed. the goal is about bringing more good publicity to the marinators. i envisage us mingling with the people there, telling them what we are all about, maybe handing out the address to this site. maybe getting up a few chants for the rhinos, but not quite the beer shower atmosphere of bay 16. what do people think about this? and who is in!? Correct, drinking isn't 'needed'....but definately WANTED!

How does Sun June 12 5:00pm Erina Iceworld 41 Central Coast v Canberra sound to everyone? Maybe few drinks at the Woody prior? Canberra sounds the trick - they are called the KNIGHTS!!!!!! Gives us practice hating Canberra, Newcastle and New Zealand in the one hit!

Do we know is alchohol allowed in the rink? for the players or spectators? Never rains but pours eh? Not one, but 2 National teams now here. Good luck to them too.

Wanted to go to an ice hockey game ever since and just never got round to it. The time has finally come! So, Woody for drinks before and Arizonas afterwards Froggy?

Hey guys,
Why not go and support wyoming tigers, considering probably half the marinators will be there anyways, cause they'll be playing, and of course i will be there, cause my marinator son is also a tiger.
And you guys sing, we all follow a yellow football team, a yellow football team.
You cant get anymore a yellow football team than wyoming tigers, yellow shirts, yellow shorts and yellow socks.
Reserve kick off at 12.45pm 1st grade kick of at 3pm
Games at Alan Davidson Oval - Wyoming May 22nd 29th
June 26th
July 17th 24th
Aug 14th
And drinks afterwards are at the Grange hotel where both teams gather cause the hotel sponsors both teams. There is also alcohol sold at the game through the hole in the wall.
So come and support some of the wyoming tigers/marinators that came and added voice to the marinators.
We would love to have you.

Hence the support for the ice hocky 'mum'. Anything apart from local football. (and possibly the RL it would seem.)

Can't make the 5th but should be up for the 12th. It is a long weekend remember. If any of you have only seen ice hockey on tv get along it is an order of magnitude better live, a real buzz. I used to support the Bears about 20 years ago when they were the Macquarie Bears. The standard then was pretty good (lots of North Americans who did not quite make it having a holiday in the off season in the winter sun before retirement).

sorry mum too many ourimbah people on this forum i'd rather scratch my eyes out and burst my ear drums before i support wyoming Well maybe i could do that for you ? lol Just kidding. Ok, i hear you, but please can we not go to any rugby league games, cause i would just vomit and die with bordom. Its a good perve on all the meat heads but as far as watching the lack of skill, i know some feel we need to convert the other codes, but please not at their games. So ice hockey it is, to answer ursus question, yes i have been to the ice hockey once. We saw the mighty ducks play live at the pond, arrowhead staduim in orange county, california. They played against canada something or other, to quote the yankies, we had the nose bleed seats, wish were right at the top of the stadium, but we had a ball anyways cause they had a hot air balloon circling around in the staduim which you could hit and push across or back up the staduim, the atmoshpere was electric. It was cold but an incredible experience. The Lakers were also playing their finals at the time in the basketball, another game we could support, but the tickets were $1,500 each american which at the time would have been $3,000 each aus, i couldnt justify paying $6,000 to watch a game of basketball even if it was the almighty lakers. So we can follow the ice hockey now and maybe some games of basketball, at terrigal we could support them. I know its a summer sport and playing times will be similar to the mariners, but it would be worth looking at with all the away games we will have interstate. Cause we will go to the sydney and newcastle games.

Been fortunate enough to see college hockey live in the US and really got me hooked, so will definitely try and make it up to Erina. And it is Faceoff to start the game, not Puckoff As for Basketball in the Summer if anyone wants to see some National Basketball League action and the three time defending Champions Sydney Kings, they are more than welcome to come along to the Sydney Entertainment Centre (or on the road trips to Newcastle,West Sydney etc) ;D
