Considering it's been just one week since the original thought of our fans playing their fans and there's still 5 and a half weeks til game day, if all goes well we'll hopefully have most of it worked out before too long and it'll just be the finer details that need touching up over the last few weeks.

bloody hell - that was only a week ago, so it takes one week to take a friendly park game to a yearly game in a stadium for a tropy!

Ok, this is what Jubal (from 'sydneyfc-unofficial.com', who's donating the trophy) is looking at.... I'll get it done my end, and arrange for the winners details to be engraved on it afterwards, This is the one I like, with the name on the base and loads of room for future winners engraving. it's 40cm high, not enormous but not tiny either
home.iprimus.com.au/jakhall/charity trophy.JPG[/img] I've been exchanging e-mails with David Mason, Media & Marketing Manager at Sydney FC. Once we work out who's going to be the Sydney FC liaison we'll make sure he's pushed to support it. So they are working on things down south as we are here. We've got some good people on the job here folks!

I reckon that trophy is a corker. And one less thing we have to worry about up here if they take care of the trophy. If we get both clubs on board it could truly be a great event.

So, when we've won the inaugural match.... where is the trophy going to go?... behind the bar in the kendal room?

Oh yeah that's what I was going to say, that would look great mounted on the wall above the bar in the Kendall. Might also look good as a hood ornament in my car.

In keeping with the marinators momentum and our chants, i feel it really quite appropriate to buy a BBQ apron with the plastic set of boobs and cut them out and mount them on a sheild. Then you could have the marinators charity sheild with the "Tits out for the Boys Trophy. hehehehe If you can't get a plastic set of boobs, maybe Sarah can help out. Bags be the one to organise the plaster mould!

I've been having a strum on my acoustic guitar working on a new song for when my Pete Murray-esque singer/songwriter career takes off. It's call '9 days'.
Nine days, waiting for Lyall If I wait any longer I think I might cry-all Precious time is slipping by-all It's been nine days, waiting for Lyall
Nine days, waiting for Gorman Nothing would get done on a site with him as foreman Without the meeting, we cant continue organisation It's been nine days, just waiting for Mr Gorman
then its like some hot licks with me screaming over the top: Lyaaaaaaall CALL MICK NOW Lyall Lyall CALL MICK NOW Lyyyyyyyyall BE QUICK NOW Lyall Gorman please CALL MICK NOW
then I bust out into a 11 minute guitar solo

And I'm deadset sick of asking you if he's responded yet. What can the guy be doing that stops him from at least letting you know whats happening. When does Ben Coonan get back from holidays.
Oh and if I claim to have a singing career in the pipeline again someone please get me to the nuthouse.

When does Ben Coonan get back from holidays. Not for a while yet: FFA site "Saturday 18 June 2005 By Benjamin Coonan, in Nuremberg It is an unusual circumstance to play a host nation with three World Cup’s to their name in your first match, only to realise that your next match will be much tougher ........"

We are yet to 'lock in' a venue Chelsea, we are trying to get leagues club park (accross the road from the leagues club and next to gosford primary school) We'll let you know as soon as we find out. It will be the 16th July, and I envisage 'activities' to start around 12pm-1pm with match kick off 2.30pm-3.00pm. Then into the leaguesy from around 6pm for the official launch of the Marinators 'jersey, website, logo etc... oh boy....what a day ( & night) it's gonna be!!!
