Not wanting to get too political (actually trying to avoid it) I think the A-League is beginning to achieve what it set out to do.
Take the fricken ethnic rivalries out of the clubs and leave them for the NSWPL to deal with.
I think that some examples of this are the friendly rivalry we have established with Sydney FC.
We have established a charity game with our rivals for the benefit of the wider community.
Also fans are getting along well with each other, rather then trying to throw flares and mame each other.
Some idiot on another message board was applauding the actions of those involved in the riots at the Sydney United vs Bonneyrigg games claiming that they had more atmosphere then any A league game.
I hate to remind the guy that bringing the game into disrepute is not atmosphere.

Take it easy guys...this invitation is a way to get you into our local and start a punch up Seriously though, i think its great...we get stuck into eachother during the game with fun banter and then get along off the field. Dont know if we will have such a friendly relationship with the 'tards though...

Well can't we try and foster a similar relationship ( that is, deadset rivals singing and chanting against each other during matches but ultimately all having the same 'goal' for the new football) with the tards and jets? and for that matter, snore and glory boys too.

Hey don't get me wrong.....we hate all the f***ers during the games!!!! We just have a 'one time only' window of opportunity here guys to foster the kind of relationship we have with the bling guys. Once the 'real' hate sets in....almost impossible to come back from that.

Something tells me oyu guys will never have a friendly relationship with the Jets fans...maybe it was the dozens of coins that were flying between the bays (and hitting us in the middle) at the game?? lol

Yeah well when I think about it the ones I hate are my ex-girlfriend who grew up here and moved there, and the losers she has befriended at uni, so maybe it wasn't the fairest assessment of the whole town. others i have seen was when I was at a knights game so thats the rest of the worst ones too.
