"We have to put this down as an experience and make sure a similar thing doesn't happen to the Marinators Charity Shield on July 16th.Every one that reads these forums ...you gotta get the word out to everyone to come along on july 16th to support the Marinators!"
How does July 16th fit in with the Central Coast local league games?
In the Gladesville Hornsby District that is the date of the first of the semi finals play offs. All players 16 years and over, will have playing commitments that afternoon (not forgetting all the officials).
Remember the local leagues were cancelled for the final. There may be a lot of others with commitments that afternoon.
It may be worth looking at Sunday 17th as an alternative?
Hopefully I should be able to make the evening launch but the afternoon is a write off.

Problem being that all the seniors play on Sundays! It's something we just have to work around, doesn't matter when it is, there is always going to be someone who can't make it unfortunately. I too play on Sat avo's but am going to miss that week to take part/help organise this 'Marinators Charity Shield'

Yeah, most seniors play on Sunday and most juniors will be finished by the time we play.

I might drive up from Penrith and cheer you on in the first half, but I start work back here at 6 so I probably wouldn't be sticking around long.

I missed the WCC Qualifiers so I thought it would be the ideal oppurtunity to actually meet some of the guys I'll be standing with when the season starts. I'll know a couple of guys from Spirit games but for most, it would be the first time we meet.
