STARTING XI MrCelery and DJ Grounsell which blanks would you like to play in? Right wing, right back , or bench are all fine by me.

No matter where I play I'll be shit so I don't mind! Preferably I would rather being cooking the BBQ or doing something to try and raise funds for the Marinators, selling raffle tickets etc. However as I said if numbers are needed I'll have a run!

Well that might be the go DJ, we're badly in need of some good people 'on the ground' to help organise etc. I'm sure players wont be a problem, froggy said there was quiet a few he knew that would play...(Froggy? whats happening there mate?)

A guy who I work with will be able to get us some cheap snags as his old man is a butcher, once we have an idea of numbers etc I can get some ordered if need be.

OK, I've been rounding up my family over the weekend. Marconi_girl is keen. She only plays indoor, but played hockey & Euro handball goalkeeper for her school. She says defensive positions, or back up goalie. My 21 son Owen will be down from Bathurst - he's just rung me to tell me the results of his games this weekend (plays 2 games a Sunday up there) and is very keen. He is a good fit young left side or central defender, and can play striker. The youngest daughter Kerensa, is not so sure - she played for her school but says it sounds a bit serious. She should be there though, and in the Leagues after as she's now just turned 18. Me, my feet itch like crazy, but perhaps I can just help warm up the 'keepers! lol Once we know what is happening I can volunteer to do something. I can write the match report! lol

Awesome thanks heaps for that. Tell Kerensa that it wont be serious at all, just a load of fun. I think with the spectrum covered from 18 year old girls to middle aged men on the field it'd be pretty clear that the Mariners appeal to all! I've put Owen and MarconiGirl in the defense next to each other, hopefully a bit of understanding there will give us an edge Celery you've been promoted up the wing. A nice blend of experience and youth in the midfield is looking nice kevrenor the bench is still wide open so if your feet get any itchier just say the word! space there for kerensa too if she changes her mind. will they make the training run on the 9th?

Celery you've been promoted up the wing. Excellent, my career has come full circle! I started in my youth at right wing, now I'm back - how poetic ;D

there is a younger McAndrews that would be worth aquiring, also was in bay 16 for the wcc games. Can you organise for him also through perhaps Neal Glen?

Ian .. yeah I'll ask, he played futsal for Australia, I'm sure we won't struggle for numbers. The meeting with the Mariners is today isn't it? does that mean we will know about the shirts?
