Thank you so much for these kind wishes. At my age (37), birthdays meld into each other, but to have best wishes from my new Marinator colleagues is a lovely gesture for which I am enormously appreciative.
I was explaining to Mick yesterday how much the Mariners & Marinators meant to me, as I haven''t socialised much since (reluctantly) moving to Bling Bling three years ago. The club & the Marinators give me a great social and sporting outlet, and our Club is already a second family for me.
I can't wait for the pre-season matches and being in the Cove with Marinator Mum (Hi, gorgeous!), Tiger, Lou, Dru, DJ, the sublime Froggy, Sean Pollock, Kurt Cobain, RVD, Steve, the Marinator groupies and all the crew. This assumes that the King is performing his press duties with 2CCC, otherwise I know you'll be with us Mick.
By the way, Sean Pollock was at Origin last night, 20 rows in front of me, in a QLD JUMPER!!! And didn't he get some stick!!! The depressed look on his face at game's end was priceless!!
