Spoke to the stadium management today and the feedback was that they love the marinators!
Lively Energetic Entertaining Atmosphere building Not too much trouble all good!...
The only 'concern' they have is everyone standing on the seats. Apparently they have to bill the Mariners for broken ones and don't want to create any bad blood.
They have approved us putting up our banners (subject to FFA approval) and want to keep things sweet with us so I said I would try to spread the word that we gotta try and keep from standing on the seats. (don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger!)

I agree with you Lou - let's avoid standing on the seats for the Mariners sake we don't want the club to spend unnecessary.
Good feedback from them thou!

Yea, that was a huge problem during the games, they weren't happy with it. Honestly do we really NEED to stand on the seats?

No, we don't have to at all. Its just an 'adrenalin' thing Omni. I was guilty of it too. It's pretty hard not to when your team scores a goal or a penalty that wins the game! Not all the 'Marinators' get on here though, so its up to us to try and spread the word and tell people not to when we are at the game.

Yea, that was a huge problem during the games, they weren't happy with it. Honestly do we really NEED to stand on the seats? People only did it because their view was blocked in most cases by others doing it, and so it snowballs. So the way to fix it is a group 'shame' of the first dickhead who does it! Then nobody else has to! I agree - positive feedback - believe me, especially the 'Not too much trouble' bit!

lou you should speak to them about removing the seats in bay 16 a concourse area! I suspect that would be a problem: a) we are not the only users b) in some cases it may be a requirement for a fully seated stadium. c) it can be seen by some as a safety issue, with surges causing trampling! I like the idea though.

We got people off the seats for the Sydney game ok so I see no reason why we can't for future matches!
RVD came up to us nice and early and told me and Auburn that for every 1 Marinator standing on the seats, 5 will get kicked out.....lol

Standing on the seats requires skill, balance and sobriety if you do not want to get tipped. If it is not stopped it will only be a matter of time before someone will fall and brain themselves (or worse me). They let us stand unlike some other stadiums, So I agree "Dickhead" chant to any up on the seats.

I was as guilty as the next man for standing on the seats, but im all for putting a stop to it. To be honest i only wanted to see what that bald-headed gandalf/aging zz top-like security guard was gonna do about it anyway. That and the 'minimum wage' chant! Cruel, i know but funny nonetheless.
But if thats the only knock we got from the club then we are doing alright!
Besides, everyone can see the 'sea of yellow' without us having to get elevated.

We all would be, there were times when I wished I could be there, especially when I was attending to Durante, I still can't get those screams out of my head, a moment I'll never forget.

Yep, shame or dickhead chants to those that stand on the seats.
Taking the seats out in 'the Sea of Yellow" would be inherently dangerous; can you imagine a Marshmallow Man like me falling down the hill and landing on top of some poor kid? The the thought is frightening. Please, the seats must stay.
