agree we need to contact media. some kind of movie file would work mr celery, sort of 'self presenting' then.(maybe it could be just continually running in the background?) Done - 2 minute video to the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' soundtrack! No Orlando Bloom Johnny Depp, or (swoon) Keira Knightley though!

totally agree about the female face, it'd be good to show up in the paper with a picture that implies 'mariners fans - its for everyone' rather than 'mariners fans - you have to be a male pisshead aged 18-55' Agree indeed. My 2 year old is a little blonde sweety. Would brush up well in a little yellow shirt! Chris, you'd have to be locking up your daughters these days, wouldn't you? They'd come across well too.

does your '2 min video' have the new bits in it Mr Celery? The video that has been uploaded to Marinators FTP does not include them, but it will be a simple job to take last minute screen shots on Friday night, replace the olde ones, and re-render the video for the launch Saturday.

Sensational Mr Celery... any wonder the marinators have such an awsome reputation already, with the people it has as 'members' and the things they are prepared to do. The group can only go from strength to strength

Do we know if anyone from mariners management will be able to make it on Sat night mick?
When I spoke to Ben Coonan last week, he said he would try to have someone there, but I know the team will be in Qld.

When I spoke with Lyle Gorman last night he apologised for the lack of attendees, given they are all in Qld. over the weekend. Ben Coonan will try to be there, but I think he is playing a game himself Sat arvo.

Lyall and Lawrie have out in their apologies and wish us all the best.
Ben has a personal commitment.
I just got a call from Murray Shaw from Foxsports who said with the timing Fox are unable to get there but he wants to stay in the loop of anything we are doing.
He said football will get a big coverage on Foxsports and that they are keen to do stories on the supporters, especially groups liek the Marinators who are well organised.

Can we feed them the usual 'snatch' copy and images afterwards ourselves? Lyall and Lawrie have out in their apologies and wish us all the best. Ben has a personal commitment. As we originally said when the idea of the charity shield game + launch night came out:
This year it might be a struggle and not turn into what we want but the show will go on regradless, and then in the future people will be coming to us to get involved.
What we're seeing here is just that. There's plenty of indications that even by December when we play the charity shield the media and the club will want something to do with it.

Marinators one & all,
Let me take this opportunity to wish everyone a great time on Saturday Night. I only wish I could be there, but daughter # 1's 21st in chilly Orange must take preference. I can't wait to see the site, the songbook, everything. Will miss being there, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Have a big one, and I look forward to seeing you all on the 23rd.

more stuff:
I am meeting with Donny Parkes tomorrow morning 10am at the cafe next Videoezy Blackwell Road, Woy Woy.
Anyone else wants to come.
I will be taking a photo and getting his full history.
I will do a history up and email Mr Celery or Adz his photo and story.
I will also email you guys a running sheet so things stay orderley.
Can you guys fit everything into a powerpoint file and one of you be the computer technician for the launch.
Mr Celery or Adz needs to bring their laptop and put all the stuff on there.
Some of us will be getting there about 4:30pm to set up.
Shirts will be on sale tomorrow. They look awesome and are very good quality. Mrs Macari is organising this. We have decided that shirts are now $35 to put an extra $1000 in the account.
It is only fair that many people contribute a little bit towards the Marinators instead of only a few who have put money in the account.
Read the telegraph tomorrow to see what the shirts look like.
Again first come first served.
