i got mine on the train ride home LOVE IT altho the train terminated at wyong and i live at morisset man was that a walk home (flat fone) and too drunk to figure anything else out...

Scarves are looking great BTW - the colours are so much better than the old electric blue ones (IMO).
The more they get out there the better the whole stadium will look.

Unfortunately I'm going to be a missing Marinator unti 23rd Sept too.  I'll definitely be in the market for a scarf then though - should there be any left. |

The style of lettering on their scarves looks like they stole a stencil from the road works (used on signage) and used that! And what's with the star emblem? Scarves are OK ... but not great. Anything in that colour must be a problem. Star ripped off part of USAF symbol.  Couldn't even use the old RAAF roundel or Roo symbols!  I'll say the colour is indeed a problem. There are many people in Newcastle (my grandfather-in-law included) that don't relate to the urine colour at all. If fact some will not even attend a match until the true Newcastle colours of blue and red are adopted. I argued (wrongly) that blue and red are just the Thuggery Knights colours and nothing to do with the historical Newcastle colours. I stand corrected, as apparently blue and red are the city colours (as opposed to the Council colours of cinnamon, emerald and white, which the old KB United wore in NSL days). I'm not sure I understand the difference, but anything is better than Pantone Colour Urine 704! What makes it even sillier, is that blue and red are the colours of the various Newcastle Armed Forces, yet the Jest try to hijack the Air Force brand through their name. Regarding the star ripped of the USAF symbol - you don't really expect the Squadrunts to have an original idea, or even get an un-original idea right - do you? |

I won't be at the CCLC on Sunday sorry, but if I can get some to another person who will be there then they will be on sale then also. |
