why not set up a comp on oztips? that way people like me who are also in the back of the net comp can just clone the tips across.

1. go to the link that dibo has put up for the oztips thing: www.oztips.com/2. register 3. join the comp "Marinators - A-league 06/07" Comp No. 82533 4. password is: centralcoastmariners 5. put ur tips in weekly 6. at a point during the season i will ask the contestants to deposit $40 into the marinators bank account. 7. if there are not enough people in this comp, then, i guess there wont be any prizes. here's hoping this works

I think that before we put it up more publicly on the web site we need to:
a) How much it will cost - I reckon $40.00 is only for gamblers, perhaps $20.00 is more realistic for wider numbers. b) state how prizes will be formulated, eg. based on what is pledged, (eg cash - 40% to 1st, 25% to 2nd, 10% to 3rd, balance of 35% to Marinators funds), goods - what exactly are they, and all proceeds go to Marinators funds. c) is it only for those who identify as Marinators?
We just have to be a little careful with gaming laws, and public perception of handling of money..

Good work following through on this idea. Don't forget the first game is at 8pm tonight, and tips will close. So far we are up to 52. This was put up on www.marinators.net hedging the betting option - to cover ourselves with gaming laws. Ideas to Jimmy about how to conduct it for those who wish, with let us say, more interest!

I will see that you get something out of this.
Will be collecting money before comp starts next year. oztips had some issues just before the comp started so i couldnt make a comp til it was a week before the comp started.
