The Newcastle Jest\Security\Police are cracking down on a few things at Enema stadium:
"...a meeting with HDP, the police, and reps from EAS, Knights, and the new security company today to discuss some issues:
1. Confetti - no more shredded paper and newspaper, and these will be confiscated by security outside the grounds.
2. Instruments - large drums will not be allowed, but bongos are fine. We can also have trumpets if we like. There will be no air horns allowed though... Im sorry if anyone has a large drum they want to bring but the security and the Stadium see them as too dangerous..."
Might be worth checking to see if our drums classify as 'big'.

I'm sure the squadrats will love point number 1. So much for their south american flair. So much for their club embracing and supporting them.
Our band of drummers are all bongo styles so should be fine but the big bass may need to be checked. No use sneaking it in either because they will obviously see us using it and take it if they want. And from previous experience security attention on the Marinators distracts the group from the match and the singing so lets avoid this if possible?
edit: Not to say that if we aren't allowed to have it that it would a reasonable outcome in any way. Fists can be used dangerously but they don't make you tie your hands behind your back when you walk in. Drums are clearly a football atmosphere device and should be promoted.

getting closer to the end of the second year and the 'authorities' still can't sort this shit out! How the hell is a drum dangerous? I had numerous dealings with police in South Australia (organising the permits for xtreme martial artists weapons) and as they said, the large samurai swords etc are not really a problem as they can be seen and monitored by the police and security, its the 'CONCEALABLE' weapons that are the problem.FFS what do they want? everyone sat in their seats giving 'golf claps' when a team scores?

I cant really see us steaming into the kiddie klub bays belting all and sundry with musical instruments can you??
Maybe if we tape the 2 drums together we could say they are big bongos or something?
Maybe they ought to let us know if Harps,Grand Pianos etc are safe or potential weapons - tools.
As for the paper, I suspect the EAS cleaners might have had something to say (I would). It looks terrible anyway.

There's about 50 or so "Blue-Veined Flutes" that call themselves The Squadron, they let them in week after week. Also what about when those same idiots go barefoot and start waving those dangerous "Ninja-Shoes" around.

Never a hint of can throwing. Why are the Jets fans unable to control themselves like the Breakers fans were?

To be fair, most of the squadron are too young to get served so they probably dont cause that problem.

thanks for adding the the convo parko....but when you talk about whinging...have a look at your own forum. The reaction the squadron had to no confetti was the funniest read i've had in awhile. Ur bunch reacted as if you would be shackled to a chair and gagged for the whole game. Its 2 seconds worth of crap....and it looks shit

f*** me drunk. I came on your forum to see if you guys had anything remotely intelligent to say about the game between your 2 BIGGEST RIVALS! (ie Newcastle and Sydney for those of you not smart enough). And all i can see is shit from you guys bagging out the Squadron, and "enema" stadium as you like to call it. Then when Parko has a comeback to you, you sarcastically thank him for "adding to the convo". f***en hell, what is wrong with you coasties, dead set, i cant wait for you pathetic lot to come up here and leave crying with your tails between your legs, pussies. The Squadron had the same numbers last night in the pissing rain as you lot get on a good day. I hope you guys watched the game last night and saw how nuts we go when we score, thats what football support is all about.
ps, a while ago Greenpea came onto our forum and told us to f*** off from your forum for being "innapropriate", i proceeded to ask him to post some examples of this "innapropriate" behaviour so that we could compare it to the shit we receive from some of you guys, but i am still waiting...
rant over. FTM.

If you spent the time to sign up here to say that, there must be very, very little to do for entertainment in Newcastle. Ask your aunty to use her circus wages to buy you a PS2 or something. She is the bearded lady right?
OK some remarks from last night.
The Cove outsang the Squadron who weren't heard once on the Fox coverage. The Cove were constantly heard.
Newcastle fell into the trap of playing the rubbish football that Sydney are playing. Sydney ran out of steam with the walking wounded they have on the pitch and Newcastle eventually came over the top of them.
Newcastle's best defender got suspended for our game next week and after what we did to Melbourne, there's no reason we wont put three past you as well.
The Marinators will be there in bigger numbers than the Cove, who outnumbered the Squadron. That will be two weeks in a row that the home support will be totally anonymous. Is that what football support is all about?
