I think we can find a few "randoms" :-) About a thousand or so I'd say, probably more.

We should organise, in conjunction with Charles ( I'm sure he and the CCLC would be supportive, as permission is required for any media to enter the club and film/photo) to have a reporter from the The Sun come to the Kendall before the game and get the 'money shot' of Mariner supporters, standing there arm in arm with Syd FC fans that come up for the game.
Ask The Sun to put that on their front page with an appropriate headline alluding to 'what violence??/media beat-up!!' and do a story that outlines that it was a great day for both set's of fans and that that one really has to ask of the Express; You What? You What? You What?, You What?, You What?

REALLY nice idea Rowdy, but before I was going to ring all the radio stations and Sun Weekly etc, I spoke with John Mckay and he 'suggested' we leave it for now and let it die rather than fuel that 'fire', so decided not to go ahead as I think he has a point. Love your thinking though son!

Interested to know why the club want to let this lie?? Is publicity from those scumbags so crucial to us??
I am sure that most CC households do what I do with it, rip out the real estate bit and chuck the rest in recycling unopened and unread.

Interested to know why the club want to let this lie?? Is publicity from those scumbags so crucial to us?? I suspect that the judgement of the club is less publicity given to the matter the better! I can see how that is arrived out, but they (and we) must hope and work so that nothing like the article happens!

Th CC Express Advocate is a poor excuse for a newspaper, investigative journalism - what's that? just google it.
go do a real story you knobs, e.g. the positive - the success of the mariners in building such a following over a very short time or the negative e.g corruption, major frauds, drug crimes it's all there, but to just beat up something from nothing is pathetic

A major state government announcement that would econmically help a town centre that is currently struggling. Where do I find this information on the Express - a small article hidden around page eight.

I've been away at a cricket carnival in Wellington. I only found out about this today.
The CCEA must have a loose definition of journalistic ethics. The Stadium was clearly duped. What a complete disgrace!! Can you imagine John & Lyall's reaction?
It is no surprise that News Ltd is responsible for this muck.
CCEA, don't bother claiming to be a friend of the Mariners. Who needs enemies with ""friends"" like you??
The letters that have been sent are excellent. Well done everyone.
Regards,
AM

One of the guys I works with lives 20 minutes outside the town boundary and he's been told by Telstra that he cant get broadband...tough luck...The government is about as consistent as Mark Shields. Pack of muppets the lot.

I have uncapped ADSL here as well in Tamworth...but the fact that a guy who lives just out of town cant get it is crap in this day and age.
