I came down for the game and I thought it was down from the last few I been to. There didnt seem to be the numbers in the bay to start with and there definitely wasn't the same number of people singing...it lacked a great deal I felt. Conductors would be a great help I think. One thing I also noticed was that we had the group up the back singing and then there was another small group in the lower third who were also singing...but not necessarily with us or the same chant. Anyway we can encourage them to join the main body of the marinators?

due to getting there late, i was down the front of BAY 16, and me and my mates made it our mission to try and get some of the 'teenies' singing and standing, i can only say that their effort was pathetic and i have no idea what they are doing in the bay, most of them had their phones out and werent even watching the game. at times, they were laughing at some of the chants, which are meant to be laughed at, and i thought "oh good, they might join in on the next one", how wrong i was. the lack of yellow down the front was also very disappointing.

Sydney have chant that is to the tune of the pompey chimes that goes
Sing up or f*ck off, Sing or F*ck off.
A variant for not wearing yellow??
I think we need to start to shame people who go to 16 and dont wear yellow.
Stand up if you wear yellow??
Alternatively what about handing out notes to the emo's that say something polite like............next time, wear yellow.
Thoughts??

Some people will probably disagree with me here but............
I think (sorry I know) other supporters laugh at us for going on about people not wearing yellow! You don't see everyone in the Kop wearing red, or you don't see everyone in the Cove wearing blue, everyone wearing yellow would be perfect in terms of a visual things but people need to get up off their arse and sing! Mariners sell blue merchandise and they sell white merchandise too remember! As long as someone is in the bay to sing-a-long and have fun whilst supporting the Mariners that's ok by me!

Im of the same opinion as DJ. People who sit down and dont sing are the ones we need to be targeting.

If we could aim for a majority of Yellow in the bay, then that would look better visually and prehaps other would follow suit. Sing or F*ck off could very well be used in bay 16

yellow would be prefered, however, if people are going to wear blue / white mariners gear, or colours that are associated with the team, that is fine. it is the people that wear black / green / red / purple etc... that piss me off, they go to no effort what so ever, they dont stand and sing, and they dont add anything to the bay, why are they there? the ideal situation would be that we could make a survey for these people, and for others in the crowd, to see what they think of us. we could ask why people dont wear yellow, why they want to sit in BAY 16, but dont sing. a survey such as this would help us improve drastically, however, the problem is that most of the kids in BAY 16 will just take it as a joke, write stupid crap on it and at the end of the day all we would have done is wasted time and money.

getting up and singing will always be the best way to show support whatever you're wearing I dont wear yellow, I dont own a Mariners jersey yet, nor any yellow clothign except my Wallabies Jersey and Im ashamed to wear that these days, but I sing my throat raspy every game, I had one of my drums with me on saturday and ill be bringing ti again this weekend. If they not wearing yellow, fine, but everyone needs to be involved somehow, whether singing, clapping, or just standing up and watching, showing they care enough to get excited besides when we score a goal.

Song by 'Basement Jaxx', (i think ?) chorus "Wheeeeeeere's yoooooouuur heeeeeaaaaaaad at, Where's your head at, Where's your head at?" (repeatx3) Rowdy's version: "Wheeeeeeere's yoooooouuur Yeeeellooooooow, Where's your Yellow, Where's your Yellow?"
