TO ALL MARINATORS AND FRIENDS WHO ARE CCLC MEMBERS
A year has passed so quickly since the Leagues Clubs last AGM. I can assure you it would not have been the success it was without the commitment shown by the Marinators. Your involvement on the night prevented a stacking of the board based on a political agenda.
Last years AGM was held on a game night and many of you sacrificed half a game (big call). I trust that the present board has (with Charles’s recommendations) shown their appreciation by responding to your requests and needs in making the Kendal Bar and Central Coast Leagues Club, the home of the Marinators.
The present Board has formed a Mariners Sub Committee and we are now working in close liaison with Lyall and the Mariners Board to establish a closer partnership with the Mariners and Marinators.
I now wish to advise you all that this years AGM will be held on Wednesday night 29th November, 2006 commencing at 7.00pm and there are few important things to remember:
1. Doors open for the meeting at 6.15pm for registration of ballot
2. Doors are closed at 7.00pm (no admittance after that time)
3. Free Food and Drinks after the meeting.
WHY WOULD I REQUEST THAT YOU ALL ATTEND AGAIN ?
Director Brad Cook is not standing for re-election but all the other directors are seeking re-election. Nominations have been received from 2 members currently not directors who wish to be elected to the board. Accordingly there are 7 nominations and only 6 positions available.
The present board wants to rid the club of political agenda’s and endeavour to attract people to its ranks based on the following criteria:
a. Younger Age Bracket
b. Business Experience
c. Expertise in a specific business area which may be lacking within the existing board
d. Availability of time to dedicate to the position
e. An open minded personality with no specific agenda to drive
f. A person of good character
g. Community minded
h. Qualifies as per the requirements of the Club’s Constitution
The Club is a large corporation that cannot rely solely on poker machines, auditoriums and cafeterias any more. Its future success will rely on corporate acumen for its future direction and not political agenda’s.
The members seeking election to the board are listed below in the order in which they will appear on the ballot paper. Brief particulars are provided.

HOW TO VOTE CARD
CCLC
Election of Directors 2006/7
VOTE NAME
X Robert Clark
Rusty Wallis
X James Ryan
X David Humphries
X Trevor Andrews
X Eddie Johnson
X Colin Fraser
I know, in reading the above résumé’s that there is still a strong Rugby League presence. Be rest assured that those Directors who have a Rugby League interest are right behind the Mariners and Marinators. Five of the directors and their partners are full season ticket holders.
I know that Charles would support me in saying that if it were not for the open-minded approach given by the present board, his and my endeavours to have football accepted as it has been would have been extremely difficult.
It would be great to see you all there and in anticipation of that happening – THANKS A MILLION
Bobby Clark
