From our good friends at Wikipedia.org - "Tifo is mostly used as a name for any spectacular choreography displayed by supporters on the terraces of an arena in connection with a football match".
After noticing just how damn colorful we look on Fox, and how excellent the impromptu en-masse scarf twirling looked yesterday, I think the time has come for us to seriously start considering a Tifo display, and I honestly think it could be done by the time of our last regular season game (against Adelaide in Round 21).
My initial thought is having our giant flag do its thing in the middle of the bay as it always does, and then having banner standards (of the players, Lawrie, Fergie, and Tobin) and a card/marquee display on either side. Or perhaps even over the entire bay itself. Or just the club logo made up from everyone holding a colored card in the air simultaneously.
Thoughts?? Suggestions?? Comments??
I personally think this would be an incredible way to send the lads into the finals on a massive high note. ;D ;D ;D

tifos would look excellent, the flags will work, but not the cards as not everyone in the bay will do it unfortunately. you will just be disappointed by some of the kids who sit down, and do make up a fair bit of the bay
flags would be a goer.

This might help with the big logo idea arje.net/rasterbator"The Rasterbator is an application which creates rasterized versions of images. The rasterized images can be printed and assembled into enormous (or smaller, if you prefer) posters. Enter the online Rasterbation Gallery to see what the images look like." Haven't used it myself but looks like it can do the job.

I'd definitely be support a tifo display of some kind. Standards are simple to make (im not an artistic person at all and i managed to make one), and also very eyepleasing.

Here's some standards I reckon would go down well:
Bananarama One for each player, complete with number and nickname Yellow Army One each for Lawrie, Fergie, and Tobin. Robbie Slaters ugly mug with a "no entry" symbol on top of it
Anything else, please contribute.

Anything else, please contribute. 'Bogan free zone' of course! 'Bay 16' The scarf twirling is very visual and easy to do. Even those who are reluctant singers can wave a scarf. But for cards to work you do need every seat in the bay occupied by someone prepared to be involved. From what I saw down the front of the bay yesterday, there a still quite a few who just fold their arms and sit with their jaws locked tight for the whole match - they're a major disgrace to the Bay and should get out. I must say I enjoyed the interplay between the top and bottom of the Bay yesterday. And the two bananas - brilliant again!

After talking to the missus and a few others last night (Permboy and a mate from Melbourne chief amongst them), I'm thinking that if a card display was a go, then one line saying 'CCM' and the line below it saying 'FC' would look very nice. THEN, as the coup-de-grace, we do that for 5 minutes straight before kickoff, and as the players walk out on the field, we give that about 10 seconds, and then bring the massive banner done, and people go nuts with their flags and standards on each side of the banner.

Yeah definitely no flares but streamers could work though to each their own

Yeah, no flares or streamers - the FFA has no particular thing against us right now and I'd hate for them to be given a reason to crack down on Bay 16.
So essentially:
Flares, Streamers, anything thrown onto the field - a big no no. Flags, standards, banners, mass co-ordination of color and people movement - Yes
