1) Sydney and Litbarski deserve each other! 2) i could think of nothing better than seeing internal strife in that club for the next season. it was certainly starting to show thru at the end last season. (i'm not bitter or anything....) 3) HEARTS ARE TOO GOOD A CLUB FOR LITBARSKI! 4) Edinborough - yes it's cold, yes it's grey, yes there are professional beggers in the street - BUT NO OTHER TOWN BOSTS AS MANY PUBS!!!!! 5) i've been to a HEARTS local darby home game against HIBS - an awesome event, great club & history, great passionate fans. 6) HEARTS serve a hot drink called Bovril at the stadium - a dubious concoction to be sure, i think it is really bonox or something - anyway it keeps you warm in the snow. 7) the Litbarski - Kosmina relationship showed what a wanker Litbarski can be. 8) HEARTS never approached the guy anyway.
9) & 10) my beautiful wife born in Edinborough rules!

Simon you should get your wife to spell check your Scottish!! Edinburgh derby (always went green don't like jam tarts) Bovril is served at all ground's and is a welcome addition to the freezing cold, with a greasy luke warm pie.( one game in motherwell it was so cold the fat solidified on your arm as you bit into it) AH Rose St Edinburgh, 1 mile long and has 100 pub's, the memories the hangovers.

Looks like it will be happening very soon or has happened with Litti going. Apparently he has knocked back the offer from the champions.

Interesting to see if its true or bullshit. I personally think bullshit and he will be there this upcoming season. I personally couldn't give a rats ass anymore, if I ever did at all. The most ridiculously drawn out balls-up of a saga in the short and illustrious history of the A-League. Well actually that's not entirely true, I'd like to see him depart now and get replaced by Frank Farina, so I can get a good chuckle out of watching The Cove call a press conference, chuck a wobbly, threaten to walk away from the club, and in a dramatic turnaround demand the immediate sacking of Walter Bugno. ;D

God, why have you forsaken us??
I think its a given that none of us want McKinna to go so let's refrain from a huge run of about 30 posts just saying "oh crap, please don't go. You rock", etc.
He won't go and I'll tell you why. The CCM manager's tie is the best in the league. Simple as that. No amount of money can tear a man from such a beautiful tie.

Pollock, It aint bullshit, he'll be on Total Football tomorrow night sitcking the knife in. Apparently he's super-pissed and will be slating the club for its treatment of him. People on our board were in favour of him staying in general but there were a lot of people who didn't think he was worth the money.
As I understand it McKinna is one of 2 main contenders for the job and the deciding factor will be the outcome of the boardroom shenanigans that have been going on for the past few weeks. Terry Butcher seems to be the other main contender for the job with Culina, Kosmina and Farina making up the numbers.

I had it today from another reliable media source that asked me not to reveal it! Now Lazlo has I can confirm what Rubbernose has said. Strange as he is on a three year contract with us - I thought - but I suppose that means nothing these days. Even taking my yellow glasses off I don't think it would be a good move, at least at this stage, for Lawrie! Aaarrggghhhhh!!!! Don't Go! Take Terry Butcher! No, take cranky Frankie!

he wont leave, not yet anyways. he has built this team and this club up to exactly what he wants. lets not forget his no dickhead policy, i cant see him and some of the bling blings gettin along. he is a great coach, but that is because he has the very people that he wants, and throwing him into the syd ranks amoungst people he might not want to be with wont work for sydney.
he just bought a house here for crying out loud. he likes the area, and loves the people and the close comunity group. well im pretty sure he does.
im deffinatly praying about this tonight.

Littbarski walks away from Sydney FC - SMH Online, 7.55pm tonight
Sydney FC is expected to name a new coach within days after Pierre Littbarski refused to accept a cut price deal with the inaugural A-League champion.
Club CEO Tim Parker confirmed tonight Littbarski had called him last night to say he would not take up an offer - understood to be worth at least $250,000 less than his first season $700,000-package.
"He's decided to move on," said Parker, who confirmed a new coach could be named in a matter of days.
Parker would not elaborate on who the club had shortlisted but said there were three or four candidates and at least one of those was from overseas.
It is understood Central Coast mentor Lawrie McKinna, who surprised all by taking the Mariners through to the grand final against Sydney, is high on that list.
Negotiations with Littbarski - who did not return AAP's calls tonight - had been dragging on for months with the German initially angry at the offer that had been made to him.
But it was thought the two parties had come closer to an agreement in recent weeks and Parker said tonight he thought after the initial stumbling blocks that Littbarski would stay on.
"It was a bit of a surprise when he turned round and basically withdrew from negotiations which as far as we were concerned were complete," Parker said.
"I suspect he's had a better offer somewhere else but we wish him well, he has been a terrific coach for us."
While winning the new A-League competition and qualifying for the rich World Club Championship, Sydney FC has had financial problems with reports the club had incurred debts between $3-6 million in the first season.
Last month Football Federation Australia chairman Frank Lowy substantially upped his stake in the cash-strapped club through his family company.
Parker said Sydney was simply in no position to offer Littbarski the same deal as he'd had.
"We just took stock ... at the end of the season when we evaluated our finances it was absolutely clear we could not afford to pay the coach what we had been paying him,'' said Parker, who admitted he expected Littbarski to walk away after the initial offer was tabled.
Parker said he was confident the club would get a "world class'' coach even on a deal substantially less than what Littbarski had received.
"A lot of coaches have made their pile,'' he said. "We now have the form on the board and Sydney is a very attractive place to come to so money isn't the only issue.''
Marquee player Dwight Yorke - on a deal believed to be worth at least $900,000 a season - still has a year to run on his contract but there is speculation he will move on particularly if he impresses with Trinidad and Tobago at next month's World Cup.

We cannot take Lawrie for granted.
We have to hope that the board are paying him what he is worth and giving him the support he deserves.

yeah but it would be so hard to support that. moving to major rivals, so not keen to hate someone we love.
