Pierre Littbarski wants to be considered for the job as Hearts' new manager.
He has said "It would be an honour if a club like Hearts are interested in me, I am seeking a new challenge in Europe, because my contract in Australia is finishing."
So how long will it be before Sydney approach Lawrie and offer him big money?

What times the club office open?

Why would a manager (Littbarski) want to join a club where the owner has already sacked two managers this season? When the team is second in the league?
Have trouble seeing Lawrie at Sydney - too many egos in the dressing room and back-room bickering

I doubt Lawrie would go to Sydney but Sydney would certainly make an offer.

Most coaches would have signed 3 year deals just to show some stability but if your no longer wanted or think you deserve better changes will always occur we are spoilt for both staff and personnel wanting to not only stay but extend their stay.I read somewhere that Money may end up in NZ to replace Adshead those poor bastards will have a new gaffer every year.

Whose to say Lawrie hasn't already been approached?
He's started something here and ain't finished it yet, it would have to be something special to get him to move away from the Mariners!

Why the hell would he go to Hearts? Last coach was treated like shit and he isn't exactly going to a pretty part of the world, as well as going to an average competition.

It's cold and it's full of scots! Not a patch on Sydney and the lifestyle here. You don't see many Australians migrating to Scotland do you?

From the lack of smilies can I assume you have something against the home of Lawrie, Fergie, Petrie (I believe you have met his wife) and our beloved Pieman. Australia football is still behind the SPL in terms of quality and money, Hearts would be a step up. I'm sure when managers are choosing their next carear move the weather has little to do with it. Also why is a discussion of Lawrie's future been moved to Australia Football in general, it's not like the board is jam packed with threads at the moment.

Tongue and cheek, good one. I read it again and it it's clearly a joke - your a funny guy Incidentally why has a post titled Australia vs Japan lasted on the main forum from yesterday afternoon. Maybe I should have called the thread police earlier.

I personally think Littbarski's offski and won't sign for sydney unless he doesn't get another job. his agent's just getting his name in the papers for publicity..
MM I beg to differ with your point in Aussies in scotland you go to any pub over there and they're the ones picking up the glasses and cleaning them!!

Dunno about the SPL being of a much higher standard than the A-League. Apart from the Old Firm, Edinburgh teams and Aberdeen (in a good year), the league's not brilliant. If in Scotland, watch the SPL Match of the Day prgram for an insomnia cure.
Scotland's a great country btw. Avoid Glasgow and grim towns in central Scotland and you'll meet fantastic people. Edinburgh's the best city in Britain for mine

Just to clarify, Hearts last coach (Rix) was treated like crap because he has a somewhat dubious criminal conviction (she said she was 16 your honour etc).
Ex Chavscum, what can you expect?
