Not expecting a classic free flowing game from NZ on Thursday. My line up (fitness permitting of course)
Danny Clarkie Stringers Vidmar Wilko Brownie Tommy Ossie Spencer Hutcho SP
Subs to include Vuka,Kwassie, Mrdja (bet he doesnt though) Macca
In the first half last week we were getting width and our tempo was much faster that the previous games. We have been letting teams dictate the pace of the game and dont break as fast as we did last year.
As we build from the back, I wonder if that is where we miss Meggsi and Heff the most. The speed at which we push forward??

Let's face it, they arn't doing much at Nurnberg and Mariners need them badly! "

I can't see the starting line up changing too much at this stage - but wait and see for the squad I guess?
If we can play like we did in the first half against Newcastle then I'm sure we can walk away with 3 much needed points!
NZ have definitely improved from last year but their shooting was very ordinary against Sydney, fingers crossed they pick up where they left off!

I am hurt.........that we would miss 2 players of that quality is unarguable. My point was that we havent got used to them not being there.
NZ have just tried to make it hard to play against them. There is a lack of quality in their side and if we are patient, we will win easily

GPFFC, There has to be a reserve GK in your lineup, so someone has to make way for Trotty.
Assuming Hutcho's injury Kwassie in for Hutcho and Jedinak (who I assume is the short term signing) on the bench.

I dont think New Zealand have a forum. I have all of the other forum URL's but not the New Zealand one.

Danny Clark Wilko Stringers Vidmar Ossie Macca Spencer SP Kwassie Tommy
Trott, Mori, Tomasevic, Brown

2-0 to us. Most likely a bit of a dodgy game (NZ are gonna try and shut it down big-time), but we'll take the 3 points and move on. Most interested to see how Mr. Mori does as well.

If we can score early we will force NZ to come at us a bit. That will allow us the space to get behind them.
The longer it stays 0-0 the tougher it will be

I'd go for pretty much the same team, except would pitch Mori straight in. Even if he's not fully fit, he's still got a real strikers instinct. Also, Kwas is more effective when he comes off the subs bench.
Mariners to win 2-1.....COME ON LADS!!
