I thought we were dominant. Jedinak had a great game (terrific cross for Petrie's goal).
Kwassie. Should have had four.
Who is Romario? Can he score goals?

kwasnik is doing it tough, i feel so sorry for him butit is his own fault they aint going in the back of the net. Glad he scored but he shoulda got more. brown had a cracker and i thought vidmar played his best for us yet... solid display all round...

I've tried really hard to be positive about him but it's hard after tonight.
I really think Mori would have scored the one on one chance.

have to agree gull, but it was a good performance by the team. kwassie had a lot of chances tonite and he really needs to be taking them. but his position is really suiting him as he runs all day but is not an out and out striker like mori or veart.
where was romario - MIA

Yep his pace is great, but can we afford to keep missing the chances?

Romario didn't do anything all game although Adelaide did very little to bring him into the game. As a 40 yr old you really need the ball played at your feet. They cant be expecting a half fit semi retired 40yr old to be running the miles up front. Even in his heyday he was never renowned for his work rate. He was a fabulous player in his time but personnally, i think Kosmina would see him more as a liability than an asset to his side over the next few weeks.
For weeks we have been missing gumps in the middle. Personnaly i am looking forward to the next few weeks when we have tommy, andrea and nik back to fitness. I think we are looking good for the finals

The best part is that we did it without Gumps, Clarkey & Pondeljak. Mrdja looks great, althought he rips into the other players when his passes don't stick.

Enjoyable win. I thought it was a good team performance (don't know what the www.a-league.com.au reporter was watching for his comments about the first half). Congats to Kwassie for an open play goal, finally. He had a great workrate and some good touches tonight and does better providing than receiving service - but I hope he's seeing a sports psychologist to help his front of goal panicky options problem. Then the magic ball from Mile to Petrie's head and lovely finish. Kinda looked like it was in slow motion. Viddie and Alex - great job. Danny, well another step towards No 1 in South Africa in 2010. Mrdja looks great, althought he rips into the other players when his passes don't stick. Cranky bugger isn't he (and hasn't been there long enough to have that right). Quite enjoyed seeing him muff a few himself after what he was giving! Looking forward to next week with Gumps and Tommy expecting more time. Heaps more movement in ths middle when they came on.

It was a great night - what a thing to brag about . Wonderfull to see so many Adelaide fans make the trip up too~ The only bad thing was the total wan*kers who thought it was amusing to thow bottles at the ball boy - security shoud have been on that sooner, the poor kid had about 20 at his feet before they got involved...kudos to the ball boy for being the bigger man and not reacting. Not cool!

Was that what all the fuss was about??
Security/police showed yet again that they are totally ineffective - WTF do they sit in their little plastic chairs and ignore that sort of thing.
Funny sort of game wasnt it??
Our passing/final ball was fairly crap, Kwassie needs to learn to pass - he is going for the blistering finish when a simple cut back to other players would get us more goals. He did it to St Nik and Mori in NZ and again 2 or 3 times tonight.
Jedinak was superb. Unlike Spencer he actually gets forward and has a great engine. That cross for SP - top stuff.
Romario was just a marketing hype. Over rated crap and should have been subbed far earlier.

"Then the magic ball from Mile to Petrie's head and lovely finish. Kinda looked like it was in slow motion." - thats just what I was thinking, he looked spectacular as he launched himself at it and assumed that flying V position...sweet! greenpole, you do have a point about kwassie, but maybe he's still adapting to his new position and old habits die hard, but like omni says, he was ther to clean up St Niks header. Gotta agree about Jedinak, had a great game, the guy gets involved, and up.

fantastic team effort, bar one play. kwasnik had a lot of responsibility with the positions he got into in the 2nd half. and he let the team down again. how long before he costs the team points again. he missed 2 chances against sydney that were under 8s stuff and cost us the match. i am just grateful that it didn't cost us again. he has had plenty of time to proove himself. lets just hope he isnt at the club next year. a few other points i want to make about players tony vidmar-legend mrdja-coming along nicely hutch-seemed a bit out of it. didnt seem enthusiastic. an off game i hope mcmaster-workhorse as usual jedi-loving this guy the more i see him play. if spencer takes his place back over jedi then i am gonna be mighty pissed off. we have lacked spencer getting in there and having a go. i doubt spencer would have made the effort that jedinak did tonight
sully-brilliant, but when is he not lately? he is in fantastic form.

I thought sully had an absolute ripper of a game. Was superb at the back. Kwassie was working his ass off, needs to learn to score one on ones. But if he can, he will be an awesome player with his pace and workrate.

*First half was some of the most dire HAL stuff I've ever seen - from both sides *Kwasnik should've had a hat-trick *It all would've been different had Romario scored *Solid second half from your lot. Tore them up out wide - Lawrie picked their weakness well.

*It all would've been different had Romario scored On the contrary - Romario detracted from their performance! Correct, but had he buried that sitter on 50mins or so the whole game would've changed.
