I remember you guys from the days when my dad used to take me up to Birmingham Gardens for the Breakers home games. They were the days, between the ages of 7 to 11, I'm now 17...
My idol back then during the early days was Warren Spink. He always seemed a step ahead technically...
Then there was Andy Harper, Bob Catlin and Jonny Buonavoglia. Oh the memories....
Why did Con have to come in and spoil the party, just as the Breakers were beginning to look like moving forward, crowds were up if I remember rightly...

Did Andy Harper have hair then in those days? I imagine he had some ... I'm pretty sure on eyebrows and eyelashes, wouldn't know about any other hair he might have had, as his kit would have covered it up.

Yes, they were memorable years alright. Sadly destroyed by a bunch of total wankers. I really hope that CCM is community club that encourages fans to be involved, not the fascist approach that Con 'Casino' Constantine takes with his cardboard Club. I'm looking forward to recapturing some of the spirit of the Breakers in this new Club.

Yes! And as soon as the club was established the fans have been involved, thanks to this forum. Just shows the management and everyone else that there is a passionate fan base for the Mariners, and that we already feel a sense of ownership over this team. (Just as many of us felt with the Breakers, and which I feel never was there with Newcastle United.)
I think it's tremendous that fans are coming together, regardless of what teams we supported in the past, and are willing to make a go of the Mariners. Hope all the officials and players feel as passionately about the club as we do!
MarinerMick is right, the Mariners need to get involved in the community ... local juniors, schools, Central Coast Soccer Association etc. If the huge number of football players on the Central Coast - from Under 5s to senior amateurs - and their families can be encouraged to support the Mariners, then we're bound to fill that Stadium for every home match.
