Not bothered who we start, just hope that we get decent service to Aloisi; I don't see the point in paying him all that money if we don't give him decent ball. Perhaps players like Owens and Porter can learn from the Beckham display about how to cross a decent ball and how to spread the play. Anyway, if we approach the game in the same way as we did for our last home game we will will comfortably. and, BTW, I don't expect the Mariners to lose another game in the regular season... our crossing's been rubbish all year, the number of times i've seen us either thunder a ball straight onto the head of the defender at the near post or lob it to the goal line at the far end of the 6yd box is just ludicrous. since osman's injury it seems browny and perhaps porter are basically the only ones who can pop in a decent cross... cheeky angled balls on the floor are the best way to utilise players like aloisi and sasho, and given they're accomplished and natural strikers, they'll know where the ball's heading, and they'll know what to do with it when they get on the end of it. the through ball on the floor is also a higher percentage play - you don't have to worry about wind, height, dip or bend, you just find your angle and weight and put it in. and as a wise man once said - 'if got had intended us to play football in the air he would have put grass in the sky'.

Yep, we need to find a way to get good service to Aloisi... it is the only way to get the best out of him.

today's paper said juninho is out after that tackle on tuesday night despite what serious may think, if true it would be a huge boost for us

I agree with serious to an extent
whilst he is dangerous on the field, and the team in general are somewhat better for his presence, he is hardly what would be classed as a success in the a-league
He really has not done much to deserve his status
He will have been a massive waste of money, until that is he scores the winner against us in the final, just like old man corica did

Juninho absolutely carves the HAL when Corica is alongside him. Defenders then have too much to mark (case in point - SFC v.s. CCM last out) Without Corica, he is often left alone as the supply source and targeted accordingly (SFC 3-3 PGFC best example).
Anyone who thinks he is a poor player, or that CCM are not better off with him injured, is daft.

Trotty Browny Stringers Gumps
with mcandrew to be omitted
the three MOs on the bench but maybe browny for porter or kwas in the above lineup

Maybe you should look through your other eye. A few good performances is hardly carving it up, everyone can have a good game every now and then. I dont think he is a poor player, he is just not as good as people, you included, keep talking him up to be. Sydney are absolutely worse off without him, all the better for us.

If the chips are down at 70mins and he has Porter or Gumprecht to choose from - that's not good for him...

Sorry to disagree Bear. I rate TLF and think if he were with us our strikers would score so many goals we would be unbeatable.

I wonder how Tommy is? It's a bit of a worry when there's no time period on his injury and they say "indefinite".
