Anyone watched the game this morning ? Whilst it was only a trial game, it was pure crap. at least the first half was!!! wuth second half slightly better, but not acceptable. How can you expect to win with only one forward ? shit Frankie Farina - get with it! the aussies lack speed, and tactics.... can't see them qualify for 2006!

*Rubs tired eyes*
Vidmar had a shocking game. Their goal had a lot to do with his lack of positioning and he was lucky not to let them in a few other times when the ball bounced his way. If we are looking at 2006 with these matches, and playing against an opposition whose main weapon is pace, I would rather see the likes of Shane Cansdell-Sheriff at left back, I rate him highly and he was one of our best at the olympics in my book.
I agree with Mick that Culina had a poor game, but really none of our midfielders (I expect far more from Bresciano) could get themselves into the game in that system. Once we became more attacking our ball retention was far better and the likes of Emerton got into the game.
Overall I'd be pleased if I was Farina. He got to see some new players, some new combinations, and tested out some new tactics in a tough away match. 1-1 in Uruguay would have been good!
Who saw Popovic bodycheck their player who had to get stretchered off? I'm glad the ref didn't.
And also when is the last time we scored with a goal with that much flair and class?
