SYDNEY FC GIVES FANS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY WITH LAUNCH OF MEMBERSHIP PACKAGES Sydney FC will give eager fans the first opportunity to become a part of the fledgling Hyundai A-League club in 12 days when the club launches a unique range of membership packages. Sydney FC will be announcing four different membership packages to entice all football fans from the state’s junior soccer players to the corporate high flyers with an interest in football. The membership launch will take place in the centre of Sydney at Martin Place on March 22 with the entire squad and coaching staff to mingle with the city’s lunch time crowd from 12-2pm. Sydney FC would like to welcome the 1800 fans (and the number is climbing daily) who have registered through www.sydneyfc.com to not only take up membership but join in the celebrations on March 22. The Sydney FC squad will hand out some merchandise and will also pose for photos with fans while officially meeting the public for the first time. So get ready for March 22 and stay tuned for details of the membership packages and how to join Sydney FC.

I worry about the state associations close relationship with this club.

SoccerNSW is still p**sed off with the Central Coast Association for supporting the Mariners bid instead of their own failed attempt. I wonder how SydneyFC are getting access to the States junior players if it is not through Soccer NSW.
Let them launch their membership scheme, and hopefully then we can sit back and see the Mariners produce something better. First doesn't necessarily mean best.
