ok, i know this isnt mariners news, but sydney news. juve are looking at playing a game aganist sydney after the world cup campaign is over. does this mean that if we'd won that they would be looking at playin at stade de mariners? rumours are that the game will be held at telstra stadium would we attend this or not? they also seem set to play a game in asia too.

Thats interesting, i dont think sydney will put up too much of a challenge to Juve but they could surprise me. But if Sydney manage to put up a fight it will deifiently be a good thing for the A-League.
I wouldnt mind going to this.

I read this this morning, and the first thing i thought was, how much? If it's anything like the Man U tour, it won't be worth it (And the league is doing sooooooo much better than then, but I think they did play AUS, but still.....). If it's in the $50-70 range for cheap seats, I'm there with bells on (quote me on that). Otherwise they can get stuffed.

I would go. I think it would be fantastic.
On the subject of touring sides, I hope the days are gone where these sides play against our national team. While these may be fairly evenly matched games, i think they devalue australian football

It is hard to say this but i would be supporting FC.....Purely for the fact they are representing Aus football and the A-league

supporting? challenge? put up a fight?
it's just a promotional tour match folks. whichever juve reserves need a run vs an underdone sydney fc resting any injury worries.
it's about selling tickets and shirts, not winning or scoring! certainly not about gauging the level of the a-league against the top clubs.
it would be a good spectacle though and really good marketing wise to keep the ball rolling after the world cup for interest leading up to the a-league 2.
i agree with u jollyroger about the socceroos. i have watched the socceroos twice at telstra, once they lost 1-0 to man utd when the stadium could 110k and the second time they beat uruguay. one match was considerably better than the other.
