Long have Australians suffered confusion when referring to the sport known as ‘soccer, umm, football’. Well friends, we have come up with a solution – let it forevermore be known as Round Ball Footy. To celebrate Round Ball Footy and our Socceroos’ trip to the World Cup in June 06, we’ve come up with an anthem to unite all Australia: ‘Look Mum, No Hands’ Spread the word! www.roundballfooty.com

um, how about no. its called football for a reason, you actually use your feet, and there was never any confusion as to what the game is called to anyone on this thread. so why even bother.
im guessing that your a contender on the "song for a socceroos" show, and you are trying to get support for your song. if you really believe your song is good, you shouldnt be bothered promoting it. it just seems pety to me.

i think we all now know it is football.even though i still call it soccer every now and then.Round ball footy is one i have never heard, but to me it sounds too much like rugby, and that kind of puts a bad spin on it..good try tho?

not my cuppa tea mate, it always has and always will be just football to me.
but full credit for getting behind the sport and the socceroos, the only way Australia will adopt the game and it's number 1 football code is if people like yourself show it support. You guys bagging him should think of that before you post!

Irish football is also played with a round ball. My Irish mates find it pretty easy to refer to more than one code as 'football', so do most people on this forum

Even if you have the most valid cause in the world, I think anyone that starts an account on all the forums to promote something for themselves is totally open to attack!

Looks like I'll have to scrap that idea of posting up a link to my new football-themed porn site. I've been working on it for months, too.

^^^^ *cough lame cough* dont use that one for a while, its completely warn out.
and for the people that had a go at me for having a go at me, you can shove it up your arse. the "round ball footy" name is just a slander of our sports proper name "football", its almost insulting to be labelled after thugby leauge, or AFL (aka footy), like they were here first or are more important. the guy obviously isnt a hardcore "football" fan, and is just trying to cash in on us.

the man is entitled to his opinion as are you phil. he shouldn't be shot down fro trying to sell something, a simple no thanks or bad idea would have done fine without carrying on about it. EVERYONE is allowed their opinion, and how do u know he isnt a "hardcore" football fan, how can you define what one is?
