I was watching some 70s footage and the traditional balls are awesome. What happened to the good old 'black pentagram and white hexagram' ball design? The new A-League ball is the same colour as vomit after you've had Berocca

Now that is just tacky and totally yuk.
Was it done by the same genius who gave us the frisbee?

If there is a goalmouth scrimmage between CCM (yellow) and Adelaide (red), it'll be a case of 'Spot the Ball'.
Sadly lacking in the design department. Is this from the same people who brought us the 'toilet seat' trophy?

i agree. poo. nrl and gridiron try to be the flashy games and they've never really changed their balls to look like shit.

i presume yellow and red is the FFA thing. But certainly wont sell too many replicars. But should increase sales of club replica balls, which i can only assume is the idea behind it.....
Will get hard to see. Especially for players looking into the grand stands of Blue Tongue stadium or adelaide.
I cant work this one out....

at least its useful for a snowing game. - not likely
Perhaps it is the official ball of Lens FC in France and they are franchising it off to us.

I don't mind it either - except for the red! What's wrong with a normal white ball thou they have to try and be fancy don't they

It doesn't matter what colour the ball is, just as long as the opposition keeper keeps picking it out of the back of the net.
