Yea found it hard to hold back tears sometimes, the man loved the sport so much. Was quite dissapointed with the brief 'A-League' segment but it was still good.
Johnny you did tell us so.

If that doesnt make you appreciate the passion and desire the man had for the game to succeed in this country than you should follow another sport.

I kept saying 'I was there', or 'I remember that'! In tears through much of it. Only actually met him a few times in all those years so only knew his public face, but perhaps that is all one needs to know - his passion and vision for Australian football lives on! I hope they release a DVD.

i remember auburn saying this on the bus on the way home from newcaslte. he quoted neil young "the king is dead but not forgotten" i was thinking of making a banner with that on it, but to also put "this is the story of johny warren" a slight variation on the original lyrics from "my my, hey hey"

I can't break the law, but if anyone missed this brilliant hour of TV, PM me. How good was it?
Honest, fair, unsentimental. Just a fabulous hour about one of THE great Australians. Watching him lose it after we got done at the MCG by Iran was hard to watch.
