Myself and 3 others (not on the board) are going.
Brett - keep your phone on and I'll buzz you when we get there..... no idea where we're sitting or anything like that, but we'll figure something out. Probably close to the Cove I'd say.

My pax from yesterday lunchtime is 15000, I'm not sure what translates to for an SFS crowd. hey have a lot more members/corporates than at Bluetongue that contributes to that figure.
Maybe jaza could help if he is lurking today.

Persik and Urawa are at 3-3 now, it sounds like a cracker. How good are Persik at home?! I'm backing both Shanghai and Urawa. I can't help it, this is club football not International Sounds like Sydney are dominating Shanghai though

Well sydney have it all to do - if they had won then they could have just needed a draw.

Sydney weren't good - couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo. Shanghai were annoying with their play-acting though (although its certainly not why Sydney didn't win, which is what people I watched the game with thought). It would have been good if Sydney had a Keane or Gattuso type character for when Shanghai players went down with 'injuries'. They could lean over the Shanghai player, say "You think that hurt" and then grind their back studs into their swingers (sorry, a bit graphic? Seriously though, I thought one of the reasons East Asian countries were so keen to have Australia in the AFC was so they could get experience against physically tougher teams. If referees blow the whistle at the slightest hint of body contact and indulge that sort of play-acting, East Asian teams aren't going to get any tougher

apart from the awful handball decision how good was one of the linesmen (the other just hopeless) - every really marginal offside decision he got correctly
makes me wonder how he thought that was in the box

That's the worst game of pro-football I've ever been to.

Oh, was that a game of football?? I thought I was watching the Chinese diving team...... As I mentioned to Brett last night - that game was the very definition of what is wrong with football on the field. Now, if only the diving players were owned by a third party, and that particular third party was a child exploiting oil baron who got together with his thirteen mates to form a lobby group, then it would be the definition of _everything_ that is wrong with football.

I walked out. I paid to see football not lying down sport. Referee in middle anticipated contact and pulled most of the time. It reminded my of Mariners v Sydney and all we had to do was cough & it was pulled.!! Rudan got the ball and the chinese guy fell over him - ;yellow to Rudan. I agree it demonstrated what was wrong with football. Referee had no control over time wasting and lying down sports, needs to be spoken to by his peers in officaldom. Great to see Carney back he made a difference however, Tallay could have stayed at home. Rudan had a good game. Again Spencer was on the bench - lovely warm up work though** Bolton shave that hairy face I wasn't sure if you were doing hand stands or that was your face I was looking at. Kwassie would have got the dot shot. Sydney can't keep having shots with no result - other teams eg Japan game ended up in draw because they had fewer opportunities but put it away. Sounds like another team I know. It's ashame someone didn't get No. 9 for china - he was a smart ***, needed a head butt. No. 15 got his just deserts. Motto of 15 was beware short chinese man with high kick!!!

G14 has 18 clubs! Derrr. And take a bow my arse, bringing in the concept of 3rd party owned players was my gag! Given you added the oil baron part but then again you would say that.

It was a combined effort - dual credit shall be given. Btw, G14 is still called G14. I was riffing on the ORIGINAL idea of G14. Get with the times.
