I'm having real difficulties with the parachute banner.
"Aussie Home End" one has still not arrived.
I tried to organise the Aussie Flag, but a number of people have said they'd pick it up and then had something else come up.
I can't get it because I've got to leave for Gosford straight from work to try to avoid traffic.
ALSO- I'm having trouble getting a hold of the keeper of the megaphones. I've asked him to bring one, but I have no idea if he got my message or if he's coming.

Finished 3-0 from what I've been told.
Goals from Nick Ward, Mark Bridge and David Williams.

Could've been 15 nil if the Olyroos spent less time f@%king around with the ball in midfield and used their possession advantage to attack Lebanon's goal. Oh and the referee was carrying a white cane, he was appalling!!!

First half we were decent but we were lacking in the second half...

I applaud the approach to the first half and the second goal was brilliant, fantastic passing and cool finish.
Second half....well....different team, negative tactics. As its been said above goal difference. If we draw against Iraq again, tonights poor attacking attitude could mean the difference between qualifying and watching Beijing at home.
Pity the Lebs didnt sit closer, I wouldve like to have ask them the question "If your house got bombed clap your hands, if your house got bombed......"
It amazes me, a year or so ago they were dodging bombs and sniper bullets from the Israelis, and then last night they couldn't handle the tiniest of tackles from us. Pussies!

That was one of the most boring games of football I've seen in a long time!! The first 15mins or so was fine but after that it just looked like a training drill!!

I had fun. regardless of banging goals for goal difference, i thought it was interesting to watch and support a different team than our Mariners. the coast enjoyed it too! the crowd went nuts everytime we scored!
the Saturday night game will be huuuuge (i think it might all come down to that game)

So we beat Korea 1-0 and Lebanon 3-0 Iraq beat Korea 2-0 and Lebanon 5-0 If we beat Iraq at Bluetongue we're in, but if we draw we miss out on goal diff? Correct?

I enjoyed the game too. I don't know what people went there expecting to see!
I saw a fast and furious start. The players were always on the move. The goals were very well executed. We gave away possession too easily sometimes in the second half, which could have been fatal against a different opposition. Agree about the Lebanese players falling down too easily, and with a scream of agony to accompany.
The ref was unflappable and barely raised a sweat. He seemed to get things right (except in the eyes of some watchers who never miss a chance to criticise the ref), except on one occasion completely missing an offside call from the line - I thought they had electronic communication to prevent this! It was certainly refereed differently from the A-League, where a much more physical game is tolerated.

Was worth the price of admission (I DIDN"T get a freebie). My overall impression was that playing like that, the Olyroos probably would have lost to almost any A-League side - I would have expected them to be at least equal. (then lifting leading to the "That's more like it" chant ;D) Great to see Danny get his 5th consecutive clean sheet (6th coming on Sunday ) Their #17 was a sceam - he must have started shaving when he was 7.
