haha, I was at school when literacy was important. Your post, however, is far from literate. Did you go to school around Parramatta by any chance: "Hmmm I would be more worried about the Spirit supporters than came on board, the Sydney United supporters, Sydney Olympic Supporters, Parramatta Supporters, and Marconi Supporters and the various groups there in mixing in the SFC supporter group " No, didn't go to school around Parramatta The majority of SFC supporters will be coming from support various ex-NSL/State League clubs, as they already have the interest in Football. If these supporters can put aside their ethnic hertiage and differences, all well and good. However if they can't put aside the differences that is where the problems will arise, IMHO.

That is true.
I think it should be OK generally, the type of people you are talking about are the one's that say 'death to the apl', the supporter's that actually venture to the SFC games should be more positive (hopefully)

Greetings from Sydney Essentially this mail is to state that we will be the new kid on the block. I thought you were a Thugby League team?? Im not just on here to stir but to outline some facts Say that the CC Mariners are a League team and you are not here to stire? Liar, pants, fire. Sydney has: - What, 8 and a half League sides - 1 ozzie rules side - 1 rah rahs side - 2 basketball sides - the bulk of NSW cricket and international tests Adding the Arrogant Sydney Sider Football Club (A.S.S.F.C.), that would be 14 interstate or national league franchises for the supposed 4m (but that is not really the Sydney basin, that spreads out to include parts of the rest of metro NSW). About 285,000 per club. So on that front, the Mariners start in front. Sydney has: - the highest ad rates in the world to get exposure - newspaper sporting desks already allocated to fiefdoms for the "major" sports which will adopt a "we will believe it when we see it, and possibly not even then" attitude. So on that front, the Mariners start in front. Single, swallow, summer. Cliches are your friend. Think about the major ones, and you will not say foolish things as frequently. A third point that puts the Mariners ahead. 20. Roster limit, you silly ... troll. So do the Mariners. Kick flies out of bounds, throw in Mariners. Chip, shoulder, remove. You are not all white and yet you love Pauline? Or perhaps you have problems with grammer? Or maybe you love the dancing Pauline, now that she is just making money from running without the inconvenience of serving. Over the backline, Mariners goal kick. The great thing about a team fancying itself as "the glamour side" is that you can have a win, a draw and a loss against them, and they take the win for granted, treat the draw as a loss, and the loss as a catastrophe. A.S.S.F.C. will be in everyone else's top three clubs to dislike, even if they are easybeats (championship team, team of champions, etc.)

Good to see Bruce as usual bringing some logic into the the argument.
I also want to know how he is not all white and still loves Pauline?

re reply to Bruce
Point 1-Why do you think the CC has not had a team? All ventures so far have failed plus I would be extremely surprised if you get over 10 plus at games. This is purely my opinion, cant support it but lets have this discussion again in 2 years time. The Coasties I know who all work in Sydney (approx about 20 of them) have zero interest which can be supported by limited amount of feedback on this site (supported by a hardcore dedicated few).
Point 2- Why would a footballer want to live in the CC with no recognition, status or crowd support when he could live in a international city which will pull huge crowds and have extremely high profile.
Point 3- I am surprised at your response to this one. It appears evident from looking at your colleague's replies that you want nothing to do with the NSL or be linked to it-dont get that reply
Point 4- Roster Limit-that is so short sighted. Do you honestly think that will be the case for more than a couple of years. Cmon you have to do better than that
Point 5- I concede on this point I forgot about the Ettalong RSL
Point 6-Doesnt warrant a response
Point 7- Go and walk around the CC with your old fella hanging out. Thats what it feels like when your up there and not white!!

I know I shouldn't feed the trolls, but this is like shooting fish in a barrell. 1. Hmmm you say all ventures have failed, but the CC has not had a team? Opinons are like assholes, evryone has them but I can guarentee you CCMFC will get at least 500* times 10,if not more than 1000 times 10. So what has 20 people you know who live on the coast and board numbers got to do with anything, I mean for 4 million people the Sydney FC turnout on the board is very abysmal. 2.Why live in the rat race, when you can be away from the spotlight and still have ample support, profile etc. 3.Why would having any links to a defunct competition be a selling point 4.Who knows what will happen in the future, all depends on the success of the A-League or otherwise. The fact remains for now the roster can't exceed 20 players and 1 marquee player, even for SFC 5.Well seeing the CC has nothing according to you, I can assume you won't be gracing us with your presence at Graham Park 6. 7.Hmmm I know plenty of non-caucasians on the Central Coast they have no problems what so ever. I guess if you are walking around with your old fella out then you will end up in a padded room and a nice white jacket.

Blackadder
Is that you Tones?
No idea-
Pure and simple
The CC is a backwater-you could attract people for the lifestyle like Nicoli Berti or some clapped out Scottish star on the downhill side
Bottom line you are a provincial area which will always struggle!!Look at football globally Most teams in the world except for 2 teams which come to mind-Chievo in Italy and Kaiserslauten in Germany are huge. That is a fact
Good luck to your team but I know when I will be walking away from No-spirit park in the CC I will have a smile on my face and your band of 20 will be looking forward to playing us the next yearfor that miraculous victory!!-

How many players have Sydney FC signed? What about a coach?
I think they must be getting very worried at the moment with players being snapped up left, right, and centre

You keep on contradicting your collegues- As they have quite rightly pointed out the comp doesnt start until next August-plenty of time to buy some real players like Elrich and North- Gun young players

We are in November now, and with Christmas coming up I think some clubs should be in panic mode on their lack of players.

To the contrary I believe that most of those guys arent interested from the old Sydney NSL clubs and they will stick to state league. Maybe thats a good thing maybe not but i can tell you their is no rivalry so far within the supporters forum. To true, most of the guys that I know that supported either Olympic, Marconi etc aren't really interested in SFC. I'll be going this Sunday to watch Leichhardt Vs Olympic. Olympic have signed some good players and it should be a good game. I will be following the new league when it starts and supporting the Mariners basically because of the setup of SFC. Hopefully once the league kicks off more people from the old clubs will also take up supporting SFC.

Hey coasties!
As you may have ascertained from my name, i am a Sydney-sider and looking forward to the new season. I see some of our fans have already given the club a bad reputation but i hope we can have a great and respectful rivalry, as it will ensure the success of the league. I hope to come back with my own un-biased (yeah, right!) opinions. Good Luck, cause your gonna need it when you come up against the might of Sydney Football Club! ;D

Ok THIS will be like shooting fish in a barrel. SFCHooligan, your arguements are a little dated dont you think? mick wrote that comment BEFORE the announcement of your 6 players, so isnt your "witty" comment a bit redundant? Well done genius! Why dont you just bugger off to the SFC forum and raise the average IQ for both forums.

Redundant-Try Ironic-the fact that Mick was trying to proove a point and it backfired as SFC announced signing 6 players the same day. My comments maybe brash but you want only positive comments on how wonderful your club is? mate get a life? And talking about hassling our new signings-Lets reflect on your Marquet player-a clapped out has been from Scotland

I liked the signings. Its obvious to me that these guys aren't going to be our really big name players and if they are then we will struggle. Your not going to have a whole team of big names so by getting some decent NSL players who have plenty of experience and have won championships is a good step. I hope we can compliment these with a couple of real quality players and some good youngsters.
