Went to the easter show yesterday, waited till nine fifteen to see the whitlams, went in and watched richard clapton of who-ever it was in the afternoon.
although wasnt i pleased when we were told off because i was under age. anyway, we came up from the coast to the show, waited ages and werent gonna go home. me and some other blokes kids (whom had driven from newcastle and waited JUST to see the whitlams) were climbing the security fence thing that was up, standing on chairs and milk crates. security came up and took out milk crates. so we watched climed up on the fence. we got told off for that too.
some other kids started to pull down the signs they put up on the fence so security put them back up. we climbed up some stairs of the stadium and tried to look. doing this we werent in anyones way, no one came up those stairs in the time we were there except for some others wanting to watch and another security person, whom went off at us. Then i tried to get through pretending to be 18. and that really sucked, i cried.
I think it was bad that no advertising was done saying that you had to be of specific age to go in after 5, theres a pub in 'the shed' where the whitlams were playing. people were drinking there and completely off thier faces at 2pm and 3 year olds were running around in there everywhere, what makes it all that different at 9?
I dont think it was really all that fair, i mean standing on some stairs, at least 35metres away from where they were playing, and were were told to leave, why is that such a problem?
