Yes Finally a Tigers player got in the NSW side, first in the clubs short histroy yay. The one thing about Brett Hodgson is he is too small, i still remember tallis dragging him over the line in 2002
I think Queensland have a great side and they will probally win this year to get back in the winners circle;. but i hope NSW win

both teams are weak by origin standards. I think I could get a game if I wanted one. They have a few backs who cant catch (bowen and thiday) and we have a few forwards who are average at best (yes brent kite I'm looking at you) As for anasta...don't get me started

But first thing Sam Thaiday (Broncos) is a forward, i think your think of the newcastle bloke. Brent kite should not be starting altho i am happy from a QLD point of view that he is....As for Anasta...who else could they have put there??? I think he was always going to get a run. But QLD where is K. Hunt...good enough for Aus but not for QLD.

I fancy a QLD win this year also, last game in Victoria too.....booooooooo
I think QLD have the better full back and better halves, but NSW have the better centres, wingers and forward line (but only just). Thurston and Lockyer to have a big series I reckon.
I hope it goes to the last game!

Being a NSW fan, I feel that QLD have the edge in the backline. All backline players for QLD can play a number of positions. There are so many combinations QLD can use if there was an injury in the backs.
I hope Cooper and Gasnier are ruled out. They are the two biggest hogs in the game.

We have better forwards, they have better halves. Hill is not fit and is an average defender; Anasta is a very good defender. Watch for Anasta to go to lock when Wing comes on. Gasnier will also spend time at 5/8, running off Gower and Hodgson when he gets up there.
Anasta will be asked to run as a 7th forward all game, putting pressure on Lockyer in one-on-one situations. ALL of the NSW forwards will run at Lockyer, and he will have his hands full when Mason, Simpson, O'Meley and co come a runnin'.
At full fitness, the outside backs OOZE class on both sides. Our backline of King, Gasnier, Cooper and the brilliant Tahu is world-class, theirs of Inglis, Tate, Bell and Hodges is less experienced but very classy.
NSW will target Inglis in defence with King given the instructions to "Maori Sidestep" him. Gasnier will put the in-and-away on his opponent, making Inglis decide whether to come in on him or stay on King.
O'Donnell needs to play for NSW. This frees up Hindmarsh to run at the Qld backs, a role he excels at.
This will be a great series, 2-1 NSW. I'm not sure if we can beat them at Lang Park.

I think David Stagg has been put in the side to defend for lockyer, every week he makes 40 plus tackles. He will not leave his side all night and if he can take the pressure off him in defense then i think will be a big show this year.

I think it is good this year, it isnt The Brisbane Broncos vs NSW, but i think if Gasiner and Cooper are injured NSW will be in big trouble for the game, losing those two will be a big loss, but then agian grothe and lewis are good players to have backing up

I don't think losing Gasnier and Cooper will be a big lose. When they both get the ball for St George, it stays with them. They do not look to promote the ball to players in support.

As a Broncos fan im gald that we dont fill the QLD side. It means we might not die in the arse this year, like we have every year since 2000
