Im sure everyone is hurting after another loss at home god knows I am.Supporting a team is going to do that to you some weeks we'll be 10 foot tall and bullet proof other weeks we'll feel like the NZ supporters but thats what its about passion and pride in cheering our team on through all types of results.Yes todays crowd was shit house and yes more people should have been there but lets not spend to much time worrying about the what ifs but work on what we can control as a group.I guess what Im tying to say is please dont give up not only on the team but in what we have achieved thus far in supporting our team we are a great supporters group for a great team that is going through a difficult period and they need our support more than ever so when we play the Roar at home in 2 weeks please turn up and lets let the boys know we still believe in them and know what they are capable of.

True fans don't give up, that's football you win some & your going to lose some as well. You can tell the players were very disappointed today at the end of the game & its up to the true believer's to keep up the support. It was disappointing not to have a bigger crowd today especially after last week, it was such a nice day but I guess after losing 1-5 last week that only the die hard supporters turned up today.

Top post fish.
I'll be there in 2 weeks ;-)
Yeah, it was disappointing, but it was a good game. At least it was a competitive scoreline this week...lol. Unfortunately this won't be doing our crowd numbers any good, it seems we don't have quite enough diehard fans yet. As long as the rest of us keep rocking up and creating atmosphere, it'll pay off. Today's in the past.

When supporting a team you follow that team through good times and bad. Sure we're not going too well at the moment, but we are only half way through THE FIRST YEAR of this brand new competition.

Im sure everyone is hurting after another loss at home god knows I am.Supporting a team is going to do that to you some weeks we'll be 10 foot tall and bullet proof other weeks we'll feel like the NZ supporters ..... For reasons I won't elaborate on it was just such a privilege to be there yesterday! Out and about on a beautiful day, a great stadium (loved the yachts out past the date palms), my team playing out a football drama, fellow fans making a big effort to be supportive (thanks Froggy and many others). Sorry I couldn't last the distance standing in Bay 16. Ok so we lost a game we should have won - how many times in 40 years have I seen that - a good header disallowed, some poor marking leading to two well taken late goals by a very disciplined Adelaide outfit! The problem with lack of play for the reserves was shown up by Hutchi and Browny who with only a few full games this season, played their legs off for 80 mins and were my best two on the park along with Danny - but could not go the distance! Once they came off no one else stepped up in midfield! To Marinermick - don't worry we will not be forgetting the team for this season - whether it ends on Feb 4 or Mar 6 - we will stick in there!

Never give up. Was shattered last night, woke up today a lot happier. Still a long way to go this year. I probably wont be at the next game as I'm going to the miracle mile with a mate who's coming over especially from perth for the night. Don't think I won't be there in spirit!

A true Mariners fan would not give up just because of a few losses. However if the Mariners continue to play below the standards they set themselves in pre-season crowds will get smaller and winning over the coast will be even tougher than it is now.
As everyone has said, you support your team through thick and think, we all know what they are capable of and as soon as their confidence is up again we will see a different team.

We cant control winning and losing, thats up to the team, but we can do our best to let the boys know that we still support them whole heartedly and we need to do this with a big turnout against the roar. We have to carry the team through the rest of the season and hope we do enough to make the finals. Once that is done all we can do is hope for a good off-season and hopefully return next year at full fitness and ready to win the A-League again.

well done lads - good to see some spirit, but with only 8 teams its a short run of wins to go from 7th to 1st, they're not gone yet.
