Hi Guys,
I am running a supporters club tournamebnt to be held on the 19th March in Newcastle.
Supporters representing West ham, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest along with hopefully teams from the jets, the mariners and Sydney FC (has just confirmed) will attend which will make for a great fun day of football.
It is worth noting that Ian Crook will be playing for West Ham.
If someone there would like to organise a team please contact me on pm1505@ozemail.com.au and i will forward a comprehensive details.
Cheers

nice?
tea and scones, tat would be nice.
Questions: Just the one day? What's the format? Length of games/time? How many players per side/ full size pitch? Is it sanctioned by Soccer NSW/ Insurance, do we have to get our own?

If i could send you tthe application document it explains the full and comprehesive details, but in answer to you question.
1.yes just the 19th March. 2, 2round robin pools of 4 teams each, then on to a semi/final format 15 min halves winner will play 5 games. 3. Day will start around 10am and finish say 4:30 pm. 4. Fiull size pitch normal 11 aside with unlimited interchange. 5. Tournamnet is sanctioned. There is a $20 per player rego fee which covers the additional insurance premium and pays for the fully qualified referees. Hope that helps some.
Cheers

No limit to squad size. Going on the tournament held in 2004 i would say a mimium of 15/16 players would be necessary. West Ham the inaugral winners had a squad of 23.
They Played Celtic in the Final who had a bare minimum of 11 players and they were worn out at that stage.

There is no limit on interchange, we could strike a very hot day and a number of over 35 players will be in attendance.
Each half is only 15 minutes and if read between the lines correctly you are worried about mass interchanges, This would be against the spirt of the game and also be terribly unweirdly in practice.
