Australia play the Lebs in central coast, and a lot of Newcastle lads are keen to come and sing the Aussies home (not that we will need it). Just wondering if we will be welcomed into Bay 16 (Im assuming we would, as its an Aussie game) I will wear my Jets shirt though, as I have no other Australian football shirt.

Looks like I will have to purchase a Aussie shirt (which is pretty sad actually).
Or we will just have to stand by our selves and try and outsing you again.
Sad people.

Of course your welcome. If you cant afford a gold shirt I've got a nice marinator one I can lend you. It's close to the right colour

[sermon]can i say that not only should jets fans not wear their gold, but that mariners fans should not wear their club gear.
why? national team matches are where we are all meant to unite behind one team. you might follow the mighty mariners or the scum [hack, spit], but for one night only you're backing the same team, and singing side by side.
if you don't have national team gear, just wear yellow. a yellow t-shirt from best and less will do. more importantly, everyone needs to get together as one and sing their guts out.[/sermon]

The thing that has plagued Engerlund support is club loyalty, I have been to England games where there a fights between rival supporters.
No one should wear club colours, Australia playing means we put aside our day to day differences in a common cause.
i have a fear that it may well be on for young and old once the media and talkback have finished and my wife has already forbidden my daughters to go (shame but I wont win that fight)

almost as good as my goodbye newcastle, see you next year shirt. Sorry couldn't resist the new season starts this year though... but saying 'bye bye Newcastle, see you later this year' doesn't sound as good

I'm sure you would be welcomed, but expect to cop shit for wearing jets gear. It's better then Sydney fans wearing blue to a game against Uruguay.
