Green Pants,
Check out the "Official Australia v Italy" thread. In summary, meeting at CLC at 6.30pm, afterwards, we make our way to Ourimbah RSL. Some of us old folk will go home for forty winks in between the meeting and the RSL, I assume that those on the drink will get some taxis en masse and head for RSL.
Actually, having just checked cityrail.info, there is a train from Gossy at 11.45 that gets to Ourimbah at 11.58. It's a short walk from Ourimbah station to the RSL, so maybe that will suit some people more than a cab.
Cheerio,
AM

one of the things we spoke about at the meeting was getting a drum for next year at the best possible price. Tiger, Fish and myself happened to be in Gosford on Saturday so went to the music centre near the station and ordered a tenor drum for us! We managed to get $20 off the normal price which is great and we should have this available for the Perth game in 12 days

aweshum! did you buy someone that had rhythm?! it's an important point permboy most people can bang a drum but only a handful of people will be able to do the job gameday the drummer must have rhythm and join in with the chants, not override them if the right person doesn't have the drums it could turn into a shamozzle

i honestly do have the rhythm for that. i volunteer. but then again, we could share it around pretty easy. just dont give it to pollock.

we spoke about this briefly on saturday and there will be rules around who uses it. e.g. no beer drinking whilst you hold it etc, I would hate to see it ruined because of beer etc.
As for who uses it well it belongs to the marinators so we should all have the opportunity to have a go (if u want), I believe you need someone who knows the chants well enough too but as I said we will have it for the Perth and Orange game so we have time to have a play before the HAL.
