however, i think there would be quite a few marinators (like myself and melsy, possibly gialloblu too, just from those i know well) who work in the city and who would like to go to the match tomorrow if there was a sufficiently clearly explained way of getting there - failing that, and if there's only a few of us, i say we get to epping stn and get a cab! ;D
i've tried for ages to work out a good route to the ground on transport info line - i'm going to need some help. the closest i get is the culloden rd near talavera rd stop on a route 293 bus.
so northern districts locals, is there a particular bus route and stop that is ideal?

Hey Dibo, as a sydney fan, i know how poor and unfortunate you marinators are hehehe, therefore I'm more than happy to give a maximum of 3 a lift from epping station to the ground and back if required. If you are interested, gimma a PM and we'll exchange Mobi numbers and organise it. I only live about 2kms from Christie park and a 5-10minute drive from epping station, so its no biggy and I'd be happy to help.
Wands.

OK, I don't know much about buses as I've caught one from City to Epping once in 28 years.
Trip planner shows:
Dep: 18:17 Sydney Buses Route: 288 From Clarence St, Nr Margaret St Arr: 18:59 Macquarie Centre, Herring Rd Nr Waterloo Rd
As for trains: 6:00pm Wyong train from Central (Strathfield 6:13) get off at Epping 6:26
I will 'meet' this train and can drive a few to Christie. Ring me on 0409 393 059 (and back afterwards) Anyone coming south - get to Epping by 6:26
That's if it isn't called off - Ryde Council ground - could happen!

You have the privilege of being driven by Willoughby or Ryde Depot drivers on that route (suggest you take some travacalms and check your life and health insurance ;D) Still, the way it's been raining in Sydney tonight, the whole shebang may be postponed.

Happy to report that when I left home at North Ryde this morning there was no cloud out there, still some on the coast where i work, theres a good chance that the pinch will dry out nicely today.

BTW, Ursus and striker9, what is the weather out Marsfield? It is light occasional showers here in the CBD.

Well in the lovely suburb of Huntingwood, (in between blacktown and eastern creek for those of you playing at home) it is sunny with patches of white fluffy clowds, blue sky. Doesn't look like rain, but it can change pretty fast out here. So far, so good.

So who's going up from the city this arvo? Are we catching the 6.00 train to Epping? Want to meet at intercity ticket barriers at say, 5.40?
