Hi, just a quick line (you will find more on Lou's thread soon) The televised away game against Perth at the Kendall will be a Marinators private function. This means under 18s will be allowed, as long as supervised by an adult. More to follow. Charles CCLC

I won't start a new thread, but add to Charles's comments: We have secured the Kendall bar as a 'private function' to watch the Perth game live on Sunday 3rd Sept (kick off 3pm) The bar will be allocated to us between 2pm and 6pm and as Charles mentioned, under 18's will be allowed ON ONE CONDITION:They MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult (good luck finding one of those in a yellow shirt! ) So for all you under 18's, you will not be permitted in the club unless you are with someone over 18, it is NOT a blue light disco! This is a 'tester' for us folks, so lets not blow it, and hopefully it will become a regular feature! (Melbourne game Sun 17th Sept.? ) We need to spread the word on this so that we can fill the place and make Charles's effort worthwhile! I for one, can't wait to be able to support the Mariners with my Marinator mates and a nice cold beer, even on the away trips I can't make! ;D ;D ;D

Lou does the person accompanying them only have to be over 18 or 15years older than the person coming in with them. Can you just double check that, even tho there will be drunks everywhere who will able to claim responsibility for the young one's.

Pollock its not f***in rocket science mate , they must simply be with a 'responsible adult'. (as you know, there's 45year olds who aint responsible, well, so the my missus says

i think that the responsible adult has to be older than 26 or around that for memory aswell.

i think that the responsible adult has to be older than 26 or around that for memory aswell. All Charles said was 'Responsible Adult'. If your'e over 18, your an adult, if you dont act like a dickhead and can keep the 'under 18' in your care from running around like a lunatic, then your'e responsible. Simple as that, nothing more.

sounds like fun. Thanks Charles.
All 6 of us will be waving at you - so keep watching that scream (scrreeennnn).
I'm unsure of the word responsible (adult has a chronological grouping but responsbile is an subjective opinion)
Now make sure you behave if not be careful

Well, bit of confusion about who's an adult eh? As this is our first try at this I have make the responsible adult of parental age. This will allow parents to bring their kids. we are looking to make this a well followed event. There can also be no underage alcohol drinking or drinks bought for under age. Thus the 'responsible' part. The under 18s will have to stay in the Kendall unless escorted by the adult. How you group yourselves under the 'adult' is your responsibility, as I will be on the door I have been told to ensure no underage wander in by themselves. Sorry for the draconian sounding measures, but I just want this to work well for us. Regards Charles

On a good note. I have organized a few give aways for the day. Everyone will get a ticket on arrival, including the kids, for the Following. For the Adults 1. DVD Player (Hope you're not getting sick of these) 2.Lunch/Dinner Club voucher to the value of $30. 3. Wine hamper. For The Kids. 1. '06' World Cup Celebration ball. 2. 3x Guinness mini balls. Finally Open to all 1.Large Mariners Glass mug.(So Collectable) Also those that show up will see the first stage of our Mariners Bar. I think it will end up being something we can all be proud of. Come down and see yourselves immortalized if you signed the Marinators Jersey. So lets make this a point proved. Regards Charles
