I'm new to watching football full time, so i don't know exactly what local derby means. Is this different than a normal match?

it's when two geographically close teams meet (usually two teams in the one town ie: Man City v United and Liverpool v Everton) and tensions generally run a little higher than usual, ours is v Newcastle

Or more Geographically we are actually closer to Sydney, but basicly we have two derbies anyway. But last night was the way a derby is ment to be, the away team needs to get its fans to the game like we did to make it a great derby. watching the game on TV you could hear us quite well at some stages, I think Newcastle need to take a page out of our book and take people to these games. Last night was just great, the atmosphere there in Bay 3 was just fantastic.

Foxtel didn't do the away team any justice in the way it covered the game, you could be heard but not seen.
Yourselves know it, Pondeljak knows it and Laurie knows it, the support was the start of what is to come.
I saw many members in the stand, not Bay 3, but they were there

Unfortunatly the fox camera was directly above Bay 3, may have had something to do with it

They don't cover a game with one camera, there are up to 9 cameras covering a live game

When you scored I looked down there and a couple of us noticed the group on the side. There was a few in front of the Cove to the left as well.

My brother said he noticed me and the frisbee on air before the game so they definatley had the ability too film us during the game. Loved the sounds of the penalty Sydney fans 'ooooooo' and that peters out to us going mental!

I watched the replay yesterday and was not sure which team was playing Dwight Yorke and Sydney. It was a shame they did not have any supporters. It was wonderful to hear Robbie continuously complementing the Cove and the Sydney supporters. It is a shame that other team did not bring many. I could occassionally hear some but never saw them.

Robbie compliments the cove and Sydney supporters even when Sydney aren't playing.

No then he'd be bleating about winning a Premiership medal for Blackburn after playing 5 games!
