yeah i love the nye games, i hope its a regular thing like the boxing day test in melbourne - gosford has the a-league nye match Fully agree. The fireworks, carnival on the waterfront and the Animal Liberators trying to kidnap the elephants all makes for great family fun, year after year. Seriously, keep the NYE game alive!

Mid week games suck. NYE and NYD games are great. Lots of people go who would normally not go... and for us folk with little kids they feel thay have celebrated the night with us

I'm looking forward to a partially vacated Bay 16 in terms of part-timers with no intentions to join in.
Although with school holidays is there any difference between a Thursday and a Saturday?

Don't forget late night shopping. All the 'cool kids' hang out at erina fair. Hopefully they'll all be there trying to pash each others face off instead of in Bay 16.

By some fluke I happen to be off on Friday, so I'm unaffected apart from having to make a mad dash down the F3 after work.
Thursday games though? On a shopping night? - not good.

Im looking forward to it mainly for our standing in the league as it sets the weekend up nicely to sit and watch games that will affect our extended season. Cant imagine what its going to be like against Adelaide if we need to get up to go on though.

Part timer (You know I'm kidding Drew, I agree Thursday games are rubbish for that, but I'm a uni bludger!)

well shame we drew it was as bad as a loss and a shame that the middle of the bay was over run by 12 year olds who sat on there arses with their mouths shut for the whole game they are a week effort and i think should go 2 other bays if they'r not going to sing. but week day games are all good for me in the hols wen i don't have a job.

Last nights crowd takes our average attendance to 9999 per game.
so close to cracking that magic 10k , anything over 10010 will do it, probably won't happen.
great crowd for a thursday now if only we could get great refs!

I was driving to the game telling my son that the crowd would probably be in the 5,500 to 6500 range. NZ on a thursday night is hardly a draw card. It was quite a surprise.
If our average is 9999, i reckon we will crack the 10,000 average next week.
On the subject of crowds, it seems not so long ago that we were discussing our base at 5500 people, i think it then crept up to about 6500. Where do u see it now?
I think our base is in the low to mid 8000 thousands. Bigger games will obviously have bigger crowds. I dont think i would be bold enough to says its 10,000, although this was the figure last night for a team that has the lowest draw card.
opinions??

great crowd last night, considering all the factors (midweek, shit team) i think it would be fair to say our base has cracked the 8000 mark
