How strange that this has become the ball-boy thread. When my son did it in the World Club Champs last season, he was told, always throw the ball to the players, don't make them bend to pick it up, never go on the field to retrieve a ball, never pass a ball if there is one on the field, never place the ball on the corner spot, do the same for both teams etc etc.
it's clear they either don't get those instructions anymore or cannot understand them.
PS MrC, when I said they lost us the game, my tongue was firmly in cheek. As we all know, it's only referees and/or their assistants who lose us the game!

I think Striker used to organise the ball boys for Northern Spirit. Maybe we could get him back as a volly and make use of his experience.

Striker you should offer your services - I hear you offer your services quite frequently elsewhere, so teaching ballboys some discipline shouldn't be too hard for you.

fan reads title of thread - goes to last post - sees picture - thinks "hmm too many threads" - thinks "needs to put more on!" - too many threads = too much information...

I think i'm lost... is this still the thread about ballboys? They should ask what the tennis ballboys from the Aust Open do for the other 50 weeks of the year - talk about pros.

LOL, I can see them now.
Kneeling down on the half-way line then just sprinting across the width of the field, only to kneel again on the otherside and asking themself WTF did I just do that for? ;D

The 2 guys responsible for managing the Mariner ball-boy's are Pat Tatum, a friend of mine and was president for 6 years of the Kanwal club and a mate of his, Steve Frame, both volleys' like our very own Omni. Framey I think is this years PL1 coach for Kanwal. God help those Rovers/Bulls? if he can't sort out the bloody ball-boys.
