are you sure you have read that correctly dibo? . maybe compliment was intentional ie. highlighting the significance of the signings of petrovski & the rock . the fact that four were signed and announced togther compliments the individual announcement for the other two . or then again .... . i should shut up now a player signing does not compliment anything. i compliment you when i say what good taste in football clubs you have. i complement you when i stand with you and many others on the curva nord (just giving the name a spin...) and we sing our guts out for the lads. being nice to as distinct from combining together with.

bikinigirl Just dont question Dibo, i still dont know how he managed to pick up on that.
Jaza, I don't think they will sign Holland as a full time player, i think they would sign Simon ahead of him, and use Holland if worse comes to worse and they need any cover for injury.
But its good to see Smitta re sign again, I think if he gets some more game time he could become a key player in the next 2 or 3 seasons if we keep a hold of him

Spot on Andy, I'd be concerned at having Holland as 3rd choice striker thou, I think we need another back up. I have not seen enough of him to really make a sound judgement. Even if Holland is signed you could see Tommy P or Kwassy being pushed up front ahead of him anyway? (In the event of other strikers being injured)

At the risk of being a pedant, how can we call it a "curva". It might bounce up and down but it sure aint curved :-)

Porter and Trott are fine examples of our policy of looking local first – if players from the Central Coast region are good enough to play in the Hyundai A-League, we will select them, and it is with a great deal of pride that we are able to confirm that we will see two of our most exciting local products run out for their hometown team again in 2007/08."
Trotty is certainly exciting. Not sure if my heart can stand the drama. Still good luck to him and I hope he proves the doubters (me included) wrong.

(In the event of other strikers being injured) i think we will sign another striker, maybe someone with a little more experience to potentially push sasho and nik. leaving holland or possibly simon as a fourth choice striker lawrie could even take simon and holland both on, as we have quite a flexible playing squad, players like browny, viddy, ozzie, tommy and porter offer different options positionally. this flexibility could possibly allow us to sign an extra specialist in the striking role

I personally think SP, Hutcho, Kwas or Tommy would be able to partner Sasho or Nik. That certainly leaves us with a number of attacking options if all are fit. Also given the fact we need a couple of U20's I think Holland or someone in a similar situation has a great shot. IMO Lawrie's main focus should be a left back now.
