Of the players we have currently signed who would be in your starting 11?

For me i'd play 442:

Danny
Wilko O'Grady Vidmar Heff (if we resign him or new player needed)

Tommy Gumpey Owens Hutcho

Mrdja Petrovski

i think you need to play a system that suits the players you have, thats why i think we should go 3- 5- 2

After Pondeljak's performances last year he is lucky to be still under contract, never mind make the first team...and Hutchinson no where near good enough.

albeit for about 30 minutes until Vidmar's back gives out and he misses half the season...
I'd be quite tempted to play 3-5-2 as I reckon Wilko, O'Grady and Vidmar are all quality and quite capable of doing the job, but then you need a wide player on the right who can give width and defend and we have let Sully go

Do u think that being injured for over half the season has something to do with that? Also, you say that then put mrdja in your starting line up. I forgot that mrdja had an outstanding season last year aswell

Also agree with DJ and keensy. Tommy P is by far our most talented player.

Sounds about right to me, except that I'd have Hutch on the bench instead of Kwasnik. Also, would be looking to see Tommy pushing forward to support the strikers as much as possible. I know the guy has his critics, but to be writing him off after 1 injury prone season is ridiculous.

It's a good team but I think it's lacking in width. Gumprecht Owens would be wanting play as central as possible, especially Gumps, and I don't think Vidmar would be making a lot of overlapping runs down the left either.

Tommy Pondeljak is one of those players who when on the park can change the face of the game. his techinical ability is magnificent and his creatitvity and through balls is imo top class. (inserts picture of Tommy P passing to Sasho to score winning goal in grand final) I think we all remember the last round of last year when 9 out of the 11 players weren't even making an attempt to play the game and tommy was giving his 110% and when your team has nothing to play for like we were, that's the type of attitude you need in a team.
