The Central Coast Mariners’ 2007/08 Hyundai A-League preparations have received an off-field boost, with Rebel Sport opting to renew their sponsorship arrangement with the inaugural Hyundai A-League Grand Finalists for the forthcoming season.
Rebel Sport has again made a major financial and partnership commitment to the Mariners, whose third Hyundai A-League campaign will begin in earnest in the coming months.
"Partnering with a national organisation like Rebel Sport, which is so widely recognised and an icon in the Australian sports market, is an exceptionally positive achievement for the Central Coast Mariners," said Mariners Executive Chairman Lyall Gorman.
"It is a very strong statement when a company with the presence of Rebel Sport are able to show their belief in the Mariners, their belief in our vision to become the centre of excellence for football in Australia and are able to identify with our core values and beliefs."
Rebel Sport, Australia’s largest sporting retailer with over 60 stores Australia-wide, will be again featured on the back of the Mariners’ playing strips for the 2007/08 Hyundai A-League season.
"Rebel Sport are proud to announce their continued association with the Central Coast Mariners for the 2007/08 Hyundai A-League season," said Rebel Sport General Manager Erica Berchtold.
"We see this as a very strategic partnership and while the Mariners did not achieve the same successes on the field last year as they did in their inaugural season, we see their outstanding integration into the local community and at the ‘grass roots’ level to be both commendable and inspiring.
"It's great to see the spectator side of the sport starting to match the participation side and the Central Coast region and the Mariners are a testament as to how exciting the potential of the sport of football really is.
"We are delighted to be associated with the Mariners and we look forward to sharing in an exciting season three of the Hyundai A-League, with the Mariners again producing their year one on field form."
