From the mariners website. Only two more days to cast your vote.
Mariners Members Player of the Year Wednesday, 21 March, 2007 - 3:30PM
The Central Coast Mariners are giving Members the chance to submit their vote for the 2006/07 Mariners Members Player of the Year Award.
Midfielder Andre Gumprecht was recognised by Mariners Members as the Mariners' Player of the Year in 2005/06, which capped off a memorable season for the 32-year-old German that reaffirmed his standing as one of Australian domestic football's premier imports.
Gumprecht earned the award after collecting 25% of the votes received, just ahead of goal scoring wingback Dean Heffernan (22%) and Socceroo defender Michael Beauchamp (19%).
Click here to cast your vote.
Members will be able to vote from Friday, 16 March 2007 (12:00pm AEDT) until Friday 23 March 2007 (12:00pm AEDT).

Even the Kwasnik knockers will suddenly realise there wasn't much better this season. Looking down the list it's hard to find a name that performed well for more than 2 or 3 games here and there.
And please people, don't make Mori our members player of the year!

I had to laugh when it asked in the survey whether you were a member or not!

It was a hard choice. I changed mine about three times.

i had the same 3 but gave danny 3 points, wilko 2 points and kwassy 1 point. it should be a current mariner unlike mori. But yeah I hope it is and it should be between those 3

I went for: Danny - 3 Wilko - 2 Gumps - 1 (even though he was injured for a spell, his influence on the team is so huge, I thought he was worth a place in the top 3.)
The backing for Kwas suprises me in some ways, but not in others. The majority of the forum, from what I've seen, think he will be an important part of the team next season, most probably in some kind of midfield role.
I don't - I REALLY hope he proves me wrong, but I've been hoping the same thing for 4 or 5 years now between supporting Spirit & The Mariners.

Although I don't want to see him win player of the year, at least some acknowledgment should go to MORI. I gave him 1 point, without him we would have had a wooden spoon not so proudly displaying in our display cabinet.

I Gumps - 1 (even though he was injured for a spell, his influence on the team is so huge, I thought he was worth a place in the top 3.) we were winning games before he came back ;D 11 games played out of 21, no goals, no assists, lost most games he played in, and didn't last the full 90 minutes, not really worthy of a point this season IMO. That's not to say he won't improve and be back to his best next year thou.

In hindsight, I guess my choice was probably a subjective one. For me, even last season, the team seemed to lift when he was in it. And, I agree, that it's very possible he'll be back to his best next season with a proper pre-season behind him and M-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-le alongside him.

Gumps is still a great player who contributes more than his football abilities on the field, I have no doubt if fit he will provide an extra spark for us next season.

I think that the team clearly didn't perform as well whenever Gumprecht was subbed off. He also made serveral chance that had not been finished off by our strikers...
