Article from the Adelaide Advertiser. Kossie mentioned GO on Total Bling last night, said he wouldnt have played him in the GF if he had known he was off then said that there were rumours that he had been speaking to CCM for a few months. sounded somewhat bitter about it TBH.

MORE than five weeks have passed since Adelaide United's star midfielder Greg Owens walked out on the club after the 0-6 Grand Final loss to Melbourne Victory.
Owens returned to Newcastle citing "personal reasons" for his sudden departure after the infamous Titanic Thursday when coach John Kosmina quit and Ross Aloisi was stripped of his captaincy.
But the skilful speedster seemingly stopped short of saying he was thrown into the deep end during grand final.
He revealed that he had never played at left-back throughout his career - a position he was hastily handed during the A-League's biggest match.
"(I've) never played in that position," Owens said.
"I've been chucked around the park a bit, maybe left wing or up front."
Owens was exposed by a smart Melbourne side during the grand final with three first-half goals proving Owen's glaring lack of left-back experience before he was dragged off at half-time.
"I'm not making any excuses," he said. "But I've never played left back before.
"I had to get focussed - that was my main priority."
Adelaide was on the verge of making history with its pending Asian Champions League debut against China's Shandong Luneng yet Owens decided that it was time to leave.
Indeed one of Owens "personal reasons" was born over two weeks ago with the arrival of his first child, Laila.
"Just at the moment I've got a lack of sleep going to and from the hospital," Owens said.
"She's not sleeping."
The other causes are the health of his ill grandfather and his partner's mother.
Owens said he needed to be by his family's side in Newcastle.
"That's one of the reasons why I headed back home," he said. "I had a couple of people that were sick.
"I've been away in the past and things happened and I've regretted it and I just didn't want to regret this.
"My grandfather, he's in hospital and my girl's mother is not well."
Owens joined Central Coast Mariners for the new A-League season but coach Lawrie McKinna has handed him compassionate leave.
"At the moment I'm not thinking about anything until April when I sort everything back home," he said.
"They've been good to just let me stay with my family."
However Owens hasn't ruled out a return to Adelaide.
"Carl Veart, Mickey (Valkanis), Angelo (Costanzo) and Ross (Aloisi) taught me a lot while I was there," he said. "Hopefully in the next few years I can get back down there.
