I think we have the easier side of the draw, but it is interesting that we play two of those teams in the first two rounds of the season proper

Definitely the easier side of the draw. Back to back Orange and Canberra will be massive.

Really looking fwd to the Orange trip this year - was a good day last time!

Can't remember the name of the Hotel we had pre-match drinks in but they had a cook your own BBQ with a potato and some awesome salads!

Hopefully we can get some more people there this time around.

The keenest travellers from the Marinators may still be in Asia which will cut a few numbers off.

I don't know much of the Socceroos draw off the top of my head but I wonder do any games coincide with these fixtures?

I remember gumps saying at the last home game they were going to Darwin for the official opening. At the time I don't think he knew it was PSC aswell.

To answer my own question, the socceroos play on the 8th, the 13th and the 16th. I guess thats why there's no Friday game in Round 1 of PSC.

edit: Ah Ha! Further to my own question, if we qualify from group A at the Asian Cup, our quarter final will be on the same day as Orange!

Could be a nice way to wind down from a Mariners/Roar draw.

edit again: We could also be playing in the 3rd/4th playoff on the night of the Canberra game should the cards fall that way. Farkin hell!

Perth are going to get absolutely Slaughtered in their group, I think Canberra is more likely for me rather than Orange, but both are possible we'll see what happens.

On the Mariners website, it says that the bonus point system will be used throughout the whole of the PSC.

Orange is looking good too, thankfully not nearly as broke this time around so I can go.

I get back in to Sydney from Bangkok on the 26th, which is the day before the Canberra game. Will I be there??

I hope this game is more interesting than this fixture last year what a bore fest although it was freds debut in Australia.
Interesting we have the 1st game in both Pre-Season and A-League season.

You Coasties are going to fair dinkum FREEZE with back-to-back games at home in Orange and then AT THE COLDEST PLACE IN CANBERRA, Canberra Stadium.

It was deadset tropical in Orange last July, and I am tipping a 3.00pm frost to hit our game (I kid you not!!). It would be funny if it snowed.

DJ, the name of the Hotel with the self-cooked steaks was the Canobolas Hotel. It's diagonally opposite where most of us ended up that night, the Royal Hotel.

Canberra is a great place to go out in, with the City Centre having some good pubs, a Casino and some fun nightclubs.

A great pre-season draw for us, bring it ON!!!

canberra's alright in winter in the daytime - it's actually the late nights/early mornings that are the killer. i made a bad error once in forgetting to close my window at night, when i woke up my hotel room was about -4 degrees inside. the condensation on the window had frozen. brrrrrr!

Just checked my draw for regular comp and I have an early morning game on the Sun following both the Orange and Canberra games, so will either have to hotfoot it out very early Sun morning or miss a game..... decisions decisions

Orange is practice for Canberra however, I might actually get to use the long johns this time. Can we have better organising for post game night. Found it a bit messy last year. Have organised my fill in manager for soccer.
