Hey guys,
I know this is a hell of a long way away yet, but I'm going to get across to this game as well. I'm going to fly over on the saturday and back on the Monday (already have the time off work).
Return flights look to be $540, which is pretty hefty I know, but I'm wondering if anyone else is interested in going across as well?

We're going but I suggest you hang off buying airfares at present because you may get cheaper. We got fares for $149 last season, so wait and keep your eyes on internet. New company starting up & we may get cheap fares again.
Usually tickets include rail travel. If games moved to Burswood casino it will mean a bus as it is not on a rail line. If at Members equity you can travel by bus but easy by train to go to ground.
Suggest you book accomodation in Perth or near rail line(network good). We got a suite at the Saville for 5 people with kitchen - maybe if you get 4 others it would cost 50/person a night. Creative thinking for accom.

Yes I'm going to this, may be a few others, but I'm taking a weeks holiday afterwards, may even join some of the glory boys for the adelaide game before heading to Enema on the sunday.
In truth I was going to treat this as a scouting mission and try a mini tour for the January game but if more are keen for this will try and get some activities organised.
There is a backpackers close to Members equity (the witches hat I think and they do group bookings) which will be cheap. and yes members equity stadium has been anounced as the home ground so keep that in mind.
Geordie can you keep us updated on where the glory boys are drinking would be good to meet up pre-game.

I'd love to head over with a couple of others.
That ticket price was from webjet.com.au

No worries Dru. Ive got a meeting in a couple weeks discussing leave for the 2nd half of the year so should be clearer and I advise you on drinking, etc.
MarinerMum, Glory are playing at MES according to the mailout I recieved last week.
Good to see an interest in this game.

While not being the Marinators Armada I think a few are inspired by the effort the glory boys made last season James.
Kind of related where is the marinators armada going this year? after two years of qld we need a change

I just got back from a weekend in perth this morning, and i've been hoping the next chance to go back will be for a game. Its a great place for a trip, probably my first preference actually.
My advice is to allow a day to travel home, as no planes fly out between about 4:30pm & 12:50am. If you can't leave Perth by 4:30 you're best to stay an extra night & fly out the next day.

Wherej's your stamina Floss = the burning red eyes at 6am in Sydney, no sleep, playing football at the airport to fill in time till the 5 to midnight flight. Sleeping on the airport lounge hoping not to miss your flight, trying to have a coherant conversation. I don't know what you mean - stay an extra night and fly out in daylight - I thinks you a chicken.

Yea, I guess it wasn't fun for e because our rowdy night was the day before. Got 4hrs sleep, full day of work (hung over), then did the allnighter home; back to work again tomorrow. But, i agree: big game, rowdy celebrations, back to airport by midnight, more rowdiness, home as the sun comes up for a normal sunday - much more fun.

Well the game is on a Sunday and I have the Monday off work all organised. I was planning on catching the midnight flight home as it appears to be a bit cheaper.

Congrats pom. What a win.
I'm still hanging out for cheaper tickets than $420 rtn. Have got them for $149 before. So I'll wait and watch.
It sounds like a few of us will be going. This time we are going to try and stay in Fremantle so we can go to Rottnest Is and do the restaurant thing.
