for the shirt idea, then "the bay" is what you would be a definate for on the front of the shirt. however, this home end will get its own name in time. many different people will call it many different things until it becomes a more commonly used name for the home end area. im more attracted to the idea of it spreading and people calling seperate areas there own things etc. take for example Greenpolefc, i remember he explained that his username was taken from the area of Craven Cottage, home of Full ham, where The Green Pole (supporter area similar to our bay 16+), is called that because there is a big green pole holding the roof up!. like grunta said, it would be better this come along natural.
however if effective immediate, then The Bay is the most obvious thing for the shirt, which would group together the whole home end and classify it as the Supporters area.

My 2 cents worth
The Dock Of The Bay
(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay
Sittin in the morning sun, I`ll be sittin' when the evening come, Watching the ships roll in, And I'll watch 'em roll away again, yeah, I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay, Watching the tide roll away, ouh, I'm just sittin' on the dock of the bay, Wasting time.

I think 'The Bay' as it seems a natural progression from bay16 IMO.

I like the idea of "The Bay". As perm says, it is better for a name to evolve and "The Bay" is a natural evolution from Bay 16. It also appears to have a lot of support on this thread. I do like Chris' idea for various breeds of Marintors as we spread throughout the stadium. With Pieman and Marinated Beef I think we already have platinum marinators. Hopefully, in the fullness of time, others of us will be judged to have enough class and breeding to be invited to that august area. As for the Kendall I would hate to lose the tradition of the name. Maybe something like Kendall's Cabin or Kendall's Anchorage. A good thread. Keep 'em coming Tiger.

One less won't hurt his profile or disrespect his name.

I like the bay. Is a progression from bay 16 easy enough.
Also like the beach. Since full of yellow, and always reminds me of going to war, Saving Private Ryan style. "Ill see you on the beach".

'The Bay' seems right to me too. I think I've been referring to it this way forever. Geographically, as a body of water a bay would generally be something more than a cove If any qualifying is needed (cf. Sydney Cove), Marinators Bay or Mariners Bay is pretty natural too. There'd HAVE to be a chant based on 'Dock of the Bay'!

How about putting "The Cheap Seats" on the shirt. Seriously the shirts are a great idea. What about "Yellow Army". It doesnt say Marinators but gives the idea that we want that whole section to be one big yellow army.

Grunta, 'Yellow Army' has been talked about and it seems like a good idea to me too.

The Stern With a 3 sided stadium, and the Marinators driving the crowd noise, it does look like the 'stern' of the mighty Mariners warship!

I'll add my support for 'the bay' because it could begin as a shortening of bay 16 then become a name for the whole 'region' as it expands. The suggestions on the last few posts were also good, i.e.: - the beach - the stern - 'Yellow army' as an alternative for the t-shirt: the idea could be to give non-yellow-wearers a ribbing and "conscript" them into the ranks
