I don't believe there should be an adult only section.........but I do think there should be a family section. Sums it up nicely. They have a right to the seats too.

with complaints/issues that the club may get around our chants etc at least they can always come back with 'well we do have x amount of family bays' etc........
worth the club looking into for V4 anyway.

The family section is a great idea and would hopefully attract the little kids that are obviously too young to go to the game and would rather run around. The hard thing would be to decide where to put it. I can't see families established on the western half way line giving up their seats for a family section and vice versa if they encouraged members without children to give up the their seats on the western half way for a family area. Would have been easier to set up from version 1 but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Also, if Canberra get a team in the A-league my money is on them to set up the first adult only members section at their fishwick home ground :-

I always have at least two kids with we at every game and sometimes a fair few more. We used to sit in the stands and most people were respectful and didn't swear to much. After a while the kids gravitated to bay 16 & 17. The lanquage there can be pretty bad but its to be expected so you can't really complain. I do occasionally have to pull my 9 year old up for yelling "Muscat...you wanker" or telling the Ref that he's a blind Dickhead. I like to think the bad example comes from you lot and not me. Bottom line unless someone is blind and swearing like a trooper I wouldn't have a go about it. Most people are respectful and apologise once they realise they have given the oppossing players/fans or ref a spray in front of young kids.
A family area would haver some merit but my kids wouldn't sit in it!

Have to agree with wombat. I have a rule with my kids when they come. What is said at the game stays there. There is no discussion about what is said, only how great the mariners are..
